Pilates Reformer Intermediate Workout (Band Prop) #100

Published 2023-09-05
This is a 45 minute pilates reformer workout using a resistance band (booty band) as a prop. If you don't have a band or don't want to use it, you can still do the whole workout without. I like the band because it activates the glutes a little bit more during the exercise, which makes the class more challenging.
I am 20 weeks pregnant now, so all my workouts for the next 20 weeks will be pregnancy friendly, which just means a little less abs and little more legs, glutes, arms and obliques. I can still do planks at the moment to strengthen the core and obliques, but if you are pregnant and planks don't feel good, drop down to your knees or do knee push ups while we do the short plank series. Always remember to listen to your body and if something doesn't feel right stop. During this pregnancy, I've done an exercise one day that just didn't feel good on my lower abs, then tried again another day and it felt fine.

Even though I am pregnant and it says pregnant friendly, if you are not, I think you will still enjoy the class and get a great workout.

What a fantastic class! Absolutely loved this one. I purchased the wedge and use it when my back is flaring up. Helps tremendously.
  • Great class! I was in Europe for a month and didn’t always have access to a gym so I started following your mat classes and the hitt workout which was fantastic! I really missed the reformer but, will incorporate a few mat classes as well. Congratulations! What an exciting time for you! Not sure I could have done that class when I was 20weeks pregnant but, I wish I had of😉

Thanks for another challenging work out! Congrats on your new bundle of joy that will be here before you know it. You don’t look pregnant AT ALL by the way. I would also love for you to do a 30-45 min tower workout soon. ❤

Thanks for the video this morning! I have a question…I have a pregnant client and I use the jump board fora wedge. Do you move yourself back some so you are not so close to the foot bar?
