In order to describe a way of progress which I know is very unusual, I this time try to illustrate the increasing ability to make big sounds and controlled and varied sounds. The final result will spring from the growth of sound and not from the movements of the fingers. This - to move the fingers - will follow all by itself. Or said differently: the security of control of the fingers increases through the growing control of the sound - not the other way round (in my case). The control of sound increases due to a slow strengthening of the connection between my brain and my hands. This strengthening is growing due to factors in my everyday life - AWAY from the piano. So 1): living my life according to what is of value to me, strengthens the connection between brain and hands. 2): this increased connection influences the sound I am able to produce, and thus 3): the ability to move the fingers with ease springs from the growth of sound. So if you can hear the growth of sound you can hear the closeness of breakthrough.
