This time I am very satisfied with the result. The reason for this, I guess, is the fact that this documentary no. 28 is among the sincerest of them all. I have made no cuts or extra takes, and you can hear all my trouble and the resistance as well as the increasing capacity and – once in a while – the overwhelming sound and the beauty of the increasingly refined touch. Because of the mixture of sensitivity and vulnerability, the interpretations are becoming deeper, and very soon my ability to play the piano will be like having an extra language. Because I cannot practice and because I cannot prevent mishaps, I am playing “without a safety belt” so to speak, and because of this - here and there - you can now hear small glimpses of shining and resounding gold and visions of where I am heading.
