Piano doc 29 director's cut

Published 2020-12-20
Director’s cut including the beginning of Chopin’s second ballade (right after the intro).
Despite almost DEVASTATING resistance this time, I am fighting my way through. This documentary no. 29 I dedicate with gratitude (as I fight) to a special friend, the English/Australian pianist Angelo Villani. I met Angelo in the spring of 2017 in connection with my 70th birthday. I played just a few bars for him and he immediately “saw” me and urged me to take up piano playing again. And so, “I crawled out from under the ruins of the demolished skyscraper” where I had been lying crushed since the age of 18?
It is my hope that this documentation may prove that back in 2017, Angelo saw and heard something worth cultivating. And now – about 3½ years later – I think it is possible to get an impression of what is coming. I was thrown out of my body those many years ago, so pianistically I was – and in a way I still am – a disabled, and I constantly hit a lot of wrong notes. But I am on my way back to life, I believe. It is still not possible for me to practice. Regaining the talent, I was born with only happens gradually as I slowly “crawl back into my body”.
You should listen to Angelo. What can I say, I am short for words – he is good, really, really good:
