Cloyster always had a ice/poison vibe for me, because of its color and the needle it shoots. And it learns toxic spikes. But that is really all there is to it.
  • @M1Sushi
I would love to see an Ice/poison Type based on how viruses are kept and preserved in Glaciers. I think that would be a really cool concept!

Oinkologne is a good candidate for Ground/Fairy because truffle pigs are known for digging and fragence has already been associated with the fairy type with Spritzee and Aromatisse
  • @FrostFoxChick
Dunsparce could work as a ground/fairy type imo. It’s known for digging tunnels and living in caves, and it has little wings and a cutesy vibe to its design.

I think Slither Wing could've definitely have been a Bug/Dragon type as well. It's tail is very reptililian and it being prehistoric also helps its case.
  • @ringmasterlano
Bug dragon better be in the next game. It’s too cool to pass up
  • @LMK-Gaming
I've always theorised that Flygon's cancelled mega evolution form could've potentially been a Dragon/Bug type.

If I can make a case for Victini, it was created before the Fairy type was even created, and there are plenty of legendaries that could've clearly been Fairy types like Celebi or the Lake trio, but those were all specifically not chosen to be retyped in Gen 6. I think they didn't want to alter the typings of legendary Pokemon in any way with these new typings which is why they didn't do anything to Victini. But your point about them overwriting a different type makes sense as well, since I think Normal tends to be a stand-in for a lot of things where another type wouldn't make as much sense, like some sound based mons being part normal type. Even then Fairy wouldn't have existed I think until Gen 6 since it was kinda made as a counter to the overpowered Dragon type because it was becoming kinda invasive in competitive
  • It's kinda crazy that you recognized Dachsbun as a Ground type and not a Fire type despite it literally being baked bread
  • @golisobro5296
I think tarountula and spidops could also work really well as bug/normal types. They don’t have anything to do with sound but string is an everyday item and helps give them that ”normal type vibe”
  • @Akari-br7ci
"Is it just a cyberspace programmed virtual creature. . . that looks like a duck? Normal type." That might be the funniest thing ever said on this channel 😂
  • @LeMisterRai
Kricketot and Kricketune always gave me the impression of being normal types. It completely slipped my mind that they were pure bug types
  • @mr.cheese8097
Dachsbun could also totally be a Fairy-Fire type, since the main attribute it gains when evolving is that it gets cooked. Additionally, Cubchoo and possibly Beartic could be Ice/Poison, with the whole sickness idea which links to poison.

I think a good concept for a poison/ ice type is a pokemon based off melting permafrost releasing ancient diseases, so maybe a variant of Avalugg in a hot region. Or maybe a pokemon based off the flu like a pig who’s cold and sick, or a variant of cubchoo where it’s snot is infectious
  • In my opinion a really cool bug/dragon type could maybe be a spider that weaves webs in the shapes of big dragons to hide the fact it’s actually quite small, because it could end up having some really cool puppeteer elements maybe
  • @uorimoon
Its amazing that if you change Sableye's typing from Ghost/Dark to Ghost/Rock, it goes from only having 1 weakness to having 6. (7 + a 4x weakness if it goes into Dark/Rock)
  • @dracowolf9247
Ninetails would also make sense as a fire ghost type since it's based off of Kitsunes which are japanese fox spirits.
  • @levianimo6379
When you pointed out poison ice my thoughts were H Sneasle and Sneasler. It honestly makes the most sense since they have the whole poison vibe but also sneaslers claws look like those mountain climbing gear as well as being in a place filled with snow and ice.
