Standing Pilates for Spinal Mobility and Great Posture | 20 Minute Pilates Workout and Stretch

Join me for a 20 minute standing pilates routine to improve spinal mobility and give you great posture. This is a stretch and mobility session, great for warming up the spine before a full workout, as a prep for any sport or dance class or indeed just to get your spine feeling mobile, stretched out and relaxed at anytime of day. It really will improve your posture with regular practice too. Watch to the end to see me having a bit of fun post shoot in the studio!

    Man Rachel you are a gem! I have arthritis in my cervical vertebrae and I cry in pain when my nerve gets pinched. I need to elongate not only my spine but strengthen those muscles. Can you show more to include those muscle strengthening also 🙏🏼

  • This morning I woke up stiff and tight (as usual) & had to uncurl reminding me of a praying mantis. Don't know if that's accurate scientifically, but it is the image I get. Found your video on You Tube and am soo grateful. Had a total hip replacement over two years ago and then fell causing another hip injury. It hurts to walk even with a cane so I've been babying myself and sitting too which I know is the Kiss of Death. I have bookmarked your video and will make it part of my morning practice after I meditate. I just turned 75 and am not ready to give up yet! Thank you for a wonderful routine. All the best.     Love this workout. I do this several times a week to relieve back and neck pain from sitting too long at my desk for work.
