So many bad takes on Elden Ring out there, but I think I've found the WORST ones. Normally, I would link the videos to provide context for my criticisms but almost every video by Quantum TV and Red Bandana Gaming were deleted. Still, they doubled down on their terrible takes so I don't feel bad about making fun of them.

That first guy didn’t attack Varre on “accident” he called him maidenless and was hurt by the truth bomb Varre dropped on him
  • “A game that’s not made for everyone isn’t a game that should be made” The paradox of this statement is that if you dumbed down Elden Ring to be for babies, then you’d turn away all the fans that love the challenge, ergo, it’s not for them anymore. There is literally no way to achieve this standard for anything ever, game or otherwise. But Quantum abuses DMCA to silence criticism so fuck whatever he has to say anyway.

"i just finish work, want to have some chill relaxing time" *logging in to soul game*
  • Quantum: "This man has no family cause he plays elden ring." Also Quantum: "Lemme harass his mom real quick."
  • @Qave_
“If a game isnt made for everyone, it shouldnt be made at all” there goes literally every game on the planet
  • Its funny watching this after his wife confirmed that he never even played the game
  • @JK_Snacks
And he did all that, WITH 0 PLAY TIME. Qtv's dedication to fight people and cause mayhem on the web, just to inflate his self-superiority as a textbook narcissist and to gain views by speaking relevant and extremely arguable topic, is just amazing. Regardless of him being unimaginably unhinged in the head, his dedication to this is very admirable.

Quantum is exactly the type of person ubisoft makes its games for.
  • "insulting people doesn't make friends, you insult them after you've become friends" Act Man with the best kind of life lessons huh
  • Watching the bits with quantum after learning he never played the game makes this even more insane to me.
  • @spikerbrad23
I think the fact that Mischief now has more subscribers than Quantum T.V is the best example of poetic justice I've seen in awhile .....
  • As a friendless orphan, I'm so happy the evil Japanese made this torture device for me to spend 10000 hours on. Luckily, I have that time because of the lack of distraction by anyone
  • "Why are you attacking me? This is a fighting game!" I died laughing.

I couldn’t enjoy Elden Ring much when I bought it. I was just not good. I was bad at difficult action games. Recently, I picked up Cuphead which has a beautiful difficulty curve and finally realized why people love extremely challenging boss fights. The first time I defeated a Cuphead boss, the rush set in. It was a very different sense of progress. It was not a level up or ticking off an item in a list of quests. The progress was in my head. I had gotten better with my reflexes and control and the progress was saved in my head. I started a new game and my brain immediately knew how to react. It made me realize that you can progress through difficult challenges if you open your mind and embrace failures without giving up. This has now become an IRL philosophy for me. I thus picked up Elden Ring again. And now I can’t put it down.

I laughed out loud when I found out the developer ragging on Elden Ring for having bad UX was a UX designer for Battlefield 2042. My dude, you are in no position to tell anyone a damn thing about UX.

That whole abuse victim statement aged like fine wine
  • When I played Elden Ring for the first time, I had never played a souls game. I got stuck on the soldier of godrick in the tutorial cave for 10 attempts. But even I was not stupid enough to attack the first NPC. Also, after playing for only a short while (around getting to Godrick/Ranni), I had a good grasp of mechanics of the game. If you actually TRY to learn the game, you can do it. If you just sit and complain when you are too bad to get past an enemy or too idiotic and stubborn to actually talk to NPCs, you will obviously not get anywhere.
