I find my treadmill runs feel so much faster than outdoors pace ,

I like to run along to a nice virtual run video, I believe there are some on YouTube! 😎😜

I just received my run pod and excited to try Zwift. Thanks for another great video. 👍🏾

I live in a cold climate, Canada, and I started using the Apple Fitness + treadmill workouts late last year. Gyms closed here in January, again, but back at it in February. I love them. They range from 10 minutes to 45 and mix hills and speed with great music.
  • Great video, lots of good ideas. Now I really want to get Zwift but currently my treadmill is broken and I can’t afford a new one. One more reason I have for using it is that I live out in the countryside and the roads are not lit (at all) which makes running before sunrise or after sundown a real problem. But not on the mill!

Great video, funny when the runner crosses the biker at 4:45 lol

Great suggestions. I need to use my treadmill more. My key tip is use a fan as well. Even in colder weather the heat build up makes it feel a lot harder then outside. I wonder if my treadmill accurate as the pacing and cadence seem way harder on my treadmill despite everywhere suggesting treadmills make it feel easier?!
  • I have a nordictrack treadmill with ifit built in. There are loads of different video runs with different trainers. Makes running on the treadmill great fun and a lot less boring.
  • Thanks! These session tips are really useful. I tried Zwift after your previous video and found it to be a somewhat strange experience with an avatar just plodding along😂 With these tips, I’m ready to give it another try. Alternatively, it’s back to the Doctor Who-marathon for me😎

Wow, that looks really neat - I'd love a treadmill, but don't have the space and I don't think the noise would make me very popular!
  • Favourite treadmill workout: 15 min warm up and be at marathon pace at the end of the warm up; hold marathon pace for the rest of the workout and change incline as directed ; (2 mins @ 7% + 3 mins @ 0%) x 6; (1 min @ 7% + 4 mins @ 0%) x 6; 15 min cool down... All done wearing a 20 lbs weighted vest for added challenge. This is my Saturday run and make it so my Sunday long run is done on fatigued legs.
  • I use the the Asics Studio app for some similar hill and tempo ones. Got to give zwift a try tho ☺️
