GTA 4™

I never thought I'd live long enough to consider GTA4 old, yet here we are.

A GTA 4 throwback video from random new youtubers once a month, never gets old.

This game is the reason Max Payne 3 had its amazing combat system, as well as rdr2.

My only memory of this game was of watching my father fly a helicopter to the roofs and using a sniper and killing random people on the ground. I watch mesmerized at the screen, and said to myself, “he’s just like me fr”

The fact that it's going to be 15 years since GTA 4 has released is so fucking surreal. In 2008, 15 years ago would've been 1993.

17:36 actually that's not true, Niko may be a very sympathetic character, which makes it really easy to forget that he's a traumatized war veteran with untreated PTSD which makes him capable of snapping at random, just listen to the stuff he yells during gun fights and you can tell he's lost his mind, for example when he yells at the top of his lungs "I'LL RIP YOUR HEART OUT!" or "PUSH ME! PUSH ME!"

I still love the way the shooting feels in this game. The guns are loud, muzzle flashes are bright, and every bullet you fired seemed like it made a real impact. Combine that with the amazing ragdoll system they had and it made the combat feels so gritty and brutal.

The Romanian play style is very, extremely, 100% and totally viable. You just have to be Romanian yourself to be able to properly do it.

Funny how GTA4 was shit on by the community back then because it didnt have a huge map and many different vehicles like San Andreas.. I was in love with this game. Every gun fight, chase scene felt real and full of tension, the missions were mostly down to earth too, the physics mechanics of the game was never seen in a GTA game before and after. The city was truly alive and interesting to explore. I would even risk to say that it is my favorite GTA game, although i played a shitton of hours with both SA and V.

This is arrested development level of writing. So many jokes per minute, it's absolutely incredible.

Most of the weird physics you witnessed was due to the unlocked framerate

This is hands down my all time favorite video game, and not just because of the potent nostalgia. The game is engineered in a way that has yet to be replicated.

People have no idea just how immersive this game is. The atmosphere of the world they managed to create is unmatched.

5:55 to be entirely fair, a paramedics job it essentially is putting you in the hospital. I’ve never heard of an ambulance dropping someone off at their buddies place or something.

As a rule of thumb nearly any game from 07-08 were all masterpieces.

GTA IV also has the most iconic soundtrack. Dark, sinister and giving chills down the spine. By far the best GTA game.

The reason why fighting is so good in GTA 4 is because Bas rutten former UFC heavyweight champion and king of pancrase did the mocap, he also did the mocap for all the car jackings.
