  • I saw a different photo of the oompa loompa girl interacting with a child and she was actually smiling and seemed very engaged with the kid. I also heard that she was really upset with the organizers and was trying her hardest to make it a decent event for the kids despite everything. she seems like a good egg
  • @Coyoteari
The solidarity between the actors & the people who got scammed is actually pretty heartwarming
  • the fact that the unknown was played by a 16 year old girl at her first acting gig also makes this somehow funnier and sadder at the same time. hope she’s doing well.

Danny, the unknown wasn't an actor, he lived in the factory and they just had to write around that.
  • @armchairtony
The madman used ai to write his apology for using too much ai. Genius.
  • @cherub64
"What is that? It's the unknown!" kills me every time like the unknown did to those children's dreams
  • fun fact- you cant legally copyright anything generated by ai. meaning you can use the unknown for whatever you want (including profit) with no legal repercussions
  • There were actually no fog machines. The oompa loompas were just vaping so much to take the edge off.
  • Bold of you to assume that the Unknown was actually an actor playing a character and not a being manifested out of the fear and sadness of all those children.
  • The fact that the Oompa Loompa actors got their scripts the night before and their costumes were the SEXY versions 😭
  • They literally gave kids one jelly bean and still ran out.
  • This gives me hope that AI wont be able to conquer the world if it cant even plan a children's event.
  • @macaronisex
The apology at the end was 1000% also ChatGPT
  • @wildnotemusic
"did you see the innocence leave their eyes?" Is a CRAZY question 😂😂

2:45 I will never get over this image. It's like a Breaking Bad + Willy Wonka crossover.
Call it Willy's Blue Rock Candy Factory

A boomer in my local news FB post said people were “expecting too much” and “in the Great Depression people would have been grateful for this” like if you’re comparing it to the GREAT DEPRESSION you’ve found the point and immediately lost it

Is it not accurate to Willy Wonka for children to be promised a joyous experience, only to be met with abject horror that leaves them scarred for life? Frankly, I think this is as genuine of an experience as you can get
  • I'd like to think literally nobody hired the Unknown. They simply were.

the organizer of the event actually tried to commission an artist to do the art, but when told the price of the art he went on a full temper trantrum and said he'd only use AI art going forward, blaming the artist that shot down his commission because he lowballed the shit out of it. This was a total scam from the very start, the organizer never had any actual intention on making this experience realistic. It's simply a cash grab.
