The issue with "high value" concept ( both men & women) is the same as everything else that has gotten watered down with the advent of the internet. The middle of the bell curve "decides" they want to appear as such, without developing the substance. The end becomes the means. The term "poseur" is a good descriptor.

When people say standards nowadays they are really saying they expect this or that before they invest themselves. It makes people really low investment and creates more resentment in other people when you expect someone to be a certain way to meet only your needs...

I feel so bad today :( I feel like I've spent the last 3 years being in love with a man who hasn't "given" me anything but I have promised myself to him...even though I kept myself open I still haven't found anyone that makes me feel that connection I have with him. But many days I feel like...why am I not WITH my man yet?? I am almost 29 and now am so ready to make a marriage and find the love of my life...I take care of myself, pay my own rent, love and laugh with everyone around me...where is he!?
