Civil War Soldiers - Ghosts still walking home after nearly 100 years.

Decades later, I saw a documentary on the Civil War and learned that those soldiers had to often walk home hundreds of miles. Many that did survive the war did not survive the long walk home. I always wondered if these boys were soldiers still trying to get home.

"trying to find their way home"... sad sad phrase.

Many years ago, my husband and I traveled south to Gettysburg from northeast PA. We had one of Ken Burns books of the Civil War and used it to guide us through the battlefield with “before and after” assistance. I wandered up onto some rocks, alone, while my husband was reading about the area. I heard footsteps not too far from me and saw a man in uniform looking out over the battlefield. He was tall and his uniform was very worn, dirty. I studied him but didn’t talk to him. He left the area but I couldn’t see him go anywhere. When I asked my husband, he didn’t see any soldier. I wish I had followed him.

Just saw your Reddit post; I’m here and subbed. I’m excited to hear more of your stories. Edit: Please do the artwork and post it; I’d love to see your drawings of the soldiers! I hope you do find a way back to your old farm and see if the soldiers are still marching by. I’m thinking you’d say words to help them cross over, right?

A medium/clairvoyant I once knew said that his spirit guide took him travelling one night to rescue soldiers from the second world war, who thought they were still fighting. He saw that they all looked confused and wandering. They were guided towards the light by his guide and he said he was privileged to watch it. This lovely old gentleman (now deceased) was so genuine and authentic, gifted with insight. He told me many things about myself that no one else on the planet knew. So perhaps your ghosts were trapped in time too. Then there is the argument for being in different dimensions at the same time isnt there? We certainly dont have all the answers but these topics are so interesting. tku Dave.

So sad. It's true some soldiers were very young. My husband's ancestor was only 13 when he fought for the union. He made it home....thankfully. I hope those poor soldiers find their way home.

Harping….. please write a book! Your journey is fascinating and the world needs to have it in written form!

Dave, there was a Twilight Zone episode in about 1961, where this procession of (Rebel) soldiers was shuffling along a dirt road, on their way home. And, they were the spirits of men who didn't realize that they were deceased. (To the onlooker, they appeared to be very real.)

What a great experience. 👍

Very sad but beautiful story. Thank you for sharing. 💟

You can help those soldiers by sending them all lots of love and showing them the light. with prayer and love and light souls can go rest in Gods loving arms. Because those soldiers have relatives in heaven watching them and waiting.

Ugh, poor kids. I hope they're unstuck now, so many decades later.

Uncle Dave, when you mention the average age of the Union Soldier ghosts this song comes to mind: Niiiineteen: 🎶In 1965 Vietnam seemed like just another foreign war, but it wasn't It was different in many ways, as so were those that did the fighting In World War II the average age of the combat soldier was twenty-six In Vietnam he was nineteen In inininininin Vietnam he was nineteen In inininininin Vietnam, he was nineteen In Vietnam, he was nineteen N-n-n-n-nineteen The heaviest fighting of the past two weeks Continued today twenty-five miles northwest of Saigon "I really wasn't sure what was going on." N-n-n-n-nineteen, nineteen N-nineteen, nineteen In Vietnam the combat soldier typically served a twelve-month tour of duty But was exposed to hostile fire almost every day N-n-n-n-nineteen (N-n-n-n-nineteen) nineteen In Saigon a US military spokesman said today More than seven hundred enemy troops were killed last week In that sensitive border area In all of South Vietnam The enemy lost a total of two thousand six hundred eighty-nine soldiers All those who remember the war They won't forget what they've seen Destruction of men in their prime Whose average age was nineteen D-d-d-d-d-destruction D-d-d-d-d-destruction According to a Veteran's Administration study Half of the Vietnam combat veterans suffered From what psychiatrists call Post-traumatic stress disorder Many vets complain of alienation, rage, and guilt Some succumb to suicidal thoughts Eight to ten years after coming home Almost eight-hundred-thousand men Are still fighting the Vietnam War None of them received a hero's welcome Nineteen S-S-S-S-Saigon Nineteen, n-n-n-n-n-ninteen N-n-n-n-n-ninteen Nineteen n-n-n-n-n-ninteen N-n-n-n-n-ninteen, nineteen Purple heart, Saigon "I wasn't really sure what was goin' on." "I wasn't really sure what was goin' on."🎶 (Paul Hardcastle) Wars are created as part of population control by our eugenicist overlords. That, and making money for the elite, are all they've ever really been about. I didn't know that until I studied about it in 2020. I feel your pain and it's beautiful that you want to help them. ✨💜✨

It could be a psychic imprint. If they didn't react to you, this could be why.
