Great analysis and I agree with everything, as always. It was an honor to edit half of this video, and Im looking forward to editing more in the future! 😸❤

This finale was just a let down. The identity reveal. Adrien and Emilie re-uniting. Adrien finding out the truth of his father and the rings. none of what we wanted happened. If none of this happens by the S6 finale I'm just going to quit miraculous as a whole. The fact that giving this show ONE last chance is ridiculous and should be quitting rn.

Seriously, the fact that Adrien stayed in his solitary confinement chamber and made Plagg give his Miraculous to Ladybug because his nightmare made him afraid that he could lose control of his powers and destroy everything kinda implies that to the writers, he's actually... not fit to be the wielder of the Miraculous of Destruction?? Cause if it's apparently so easy for Adrien to lose control, then maybe he shouldn't have the Miraculous in the first place, which honestly is not the narrative you should be portraying for one of your main protagonists, whether it was unintentional or not!

Sometimes, fanfiction is more enjoyable than the original

You know what hurts the most? Gabriel died without knowing chat noir was his SON. THERE'S NO CHANCE OF ADRIEN TELLING HIM THAT HE'S CHAT NOIR ANYMORE. Adrien would find out about Gabriel being monarch but live in the guilt that he couldn't tell his father that he's chat noir is just sad
  • @nady2130
Gabriel did NOT need to be forgiven by Marinette and Adrien or deserve a statue. Having his identity exposed wouldve been neat to see.
  • If Gabriel had won and nobody knew anything it would even been ok, but the fact that he was recognized as a hero with a statue in the place where the heroes's statue was is revolting, and that's not even mentioning his selfish request and how Marinete followed through with the lie...for Adrien to really be free and happy he needs to know AT LEAST that he is a sentimonster so he can protect his amok, this is something that only he should do.

i truly believe the only way that this show can be redeemed is with an antihero/villain arc for adrichat. it will only work if he finds out that ladybug was keeping all of these secrets from him (monarch’s identity, him being a sentibeing) and comes to resent her. this also excuses their identities still being a secret. sadly, i don’t have hope that the writers will execute it well
  • @daisanity6457
Well it took until the finale, but at the very damn least, the writers remembered that Nathaniel and Alix were best friends and they got to do spray paint art together

I feel really bad for Adrien/Cat Noir right now. He really wanted to fight Monrach and reclaim the miraculous alongside Ladybug but thanks to his heartless father, he had to sit it out. I hope next season, Ladybug at least apologizes to CatNoir for missing out on the fight and tried to explain everything that happened.

My toxic opinion as an MLB fan is that I found the season 5 finale worse than the season 3 finale. I felt unsatisfied watching the finale because of how badly executed the ending of the Agreste arc was. Nobody in the fan base was happy with the finale and i’m losing hope. The only reason I’m watching season 6 is for Lila and Felix. Great analysis though and your rewrite of S5 is much better than the actual finale ❤❤❤

For me miraculous is done. The biggest plot of the show ended without a conclusion and the main character (adrien) was missing from knowing the truth. The reveal is the last thing going for this show, and it wouldn't be as good since Gabriel isn't there. He was the reason they couldn't be together and he never knew his son was Chat Noir. Lila isn't a interesting villain to be hawkmoth and emilie coming back felt anti climatic, we don't know her. We needed more flashbacks of her to know her personality and how much she loved gabriel/adrien to feel why gabriel was desperate. So many things are wrong.
  • @ravenjanise
I feel like the writers also forgot that Adrian is the one who cataclysm his own dad! Like when he finds out about his dad being hawk moth he’s going to have to deal with the fact that he basically expedited his demise as well
  • @MR_3001
To be honest, it would've been much better to have the finale focus on Adrian. Marinette can get the spotlight arc 1B's finale. Lila has direct beef with Marinette (to the point where she gets one of the strongest magical weapons in the universe just to get back at a middle school girl who called her out in the washroom once)
  • @Ysae791
Saying that the reverse love square was rushed is an understatement imo. Adrien falls for Marinette too quickly and Lb liking CN is portrayed as Marinette wanting to forget Adrien and not a genuine feeling (it's even in the episode synopis, lol). But then in kwami's choice Adrien totally forgets Marinette kissed CN the previous episode and Marinette forgets she was in love with CN one episode prior. If they wanted to pull this off, they should have started the set up in season 3 and go through with it in s4 and s5. Also another thing that bothers me is that are we supposed to believe that throughout the whole summer CN never asked LB anything about what happened? Who was Monarch, how did she get the kwamis back etc, etc. In season 4 there was a whole story line focused on the fact that LB kept CN in the dark and then by the end of s5 he is not only left in complete darkness but also showered by lies as Adrien. There is absolute no effort by the writers to keep things that they establish consistent. And looking at s6, I'm sorry but I don't like that everyone in the class has a miraculous. That's ridiculous to me. I'd be happy with just Alya and Nino as permanent holders (and Chloe before she was ruined). I just couldn't care less about all the other classmates.
  • @PanTastique
Thomas Astruc seems to be obsessed with Marinette to... a concerning degree. I know he's not the only writer here, but as the boss, what he says goes, so this all has his stamp of approval on it. Plus statements from him and the crew from the past... ick factor.
  • Not only Adrien but Argos wasn't at the finale either, they could have at least shown a scene of him protecting his mother and that would be why he couldn't go after Adrien and Kagami or go to Paris, Amelie is too important for him, he wouldn't leave her behind if she was vulnerable and with multiple villains popping up from all sides.
  • @hasanigreene8043
Sadly, you see, that's why we shorten the name to miraculous ladybug
  • @dennis_kun
I wanted Gabriel's identity to be exposed to the public, being hated by everyone, and going to jail so bad. 😭
  • @llloonie
If I rewrote the ending, I'd only make a few major changes. The episode would go as normal, with Gabriel and Marinette finding out each other's identities, her combining the miraculouses and the awesome fight scene. However, sometime during the fight, Ladybug would realise that she couldn't do it, she couldn't fight this battle without Cat Noir by her side. So, she sends Plagg back, who pep talks Adrien, and Cat Noir soon joins the scene. By this point, Ladybug and Gabe are in the thick of it, and Cat Noir is doing his best to help. Then, without thinking, Marinette uses Gabe's name, revealing his identity to a startled and confused Cat Noir. In shock, he cataclysms the floor, they all drop down but... Ladybug's trapped under a pile of rubble. She's not hurt, but she is unconscious. This is now Adrien's fight. He confronts his dad, does all the same stuff Marinette does, but instead of showing him the video, he simply just detransforms. Hawkmoth is in shock at the knowledge that his own son is his enemy and this is enough to convince him to do something similar to what he does in the original finale: immobilize Cat Noir, fetch both miraculouses and make his wish. Later, Cat Noir goes back home, leaving the ladybug miraculous behind so she can transform once she regains consciousness. And guess what? All this can happen without revealing either of their identities to each other while still giving Adrien the truth he deserves.
