How To Make A Perfect Lentil And Rice Recipe- Lentils Recipe - Rice Recipe
This is a Lebanese inspired recipe known as Mujaddara but I have put my Indian twist to it by adding a few basic spices and even adding veggies that make it a one pot goodness. I have explained in detail how to cook the perfect rice so that each grain remains separate, the tips and tricks to make crispy caramelized onions and all the possible tricks to make the perfect lentil rice ever. I feel this is the tastiest lentil rice recipe and nutritious too. The cucumber yogurt sauce (I would call it a raita) goes extremely well with this rice. Please try this lentil & rice recipe and send me your feedback.

Another Italian here that loves food from all nationalities and I didn’t hesitate to “smash” the Like button on this after making the tastiest lentils I ever had. This also makes an incredible soup if you do not add the rice and use slightly less water. Thank you so much for this recipe and mesmerizing video.

I'm Iranian. We called this dish "aadaas polo" it means rice and lentil. I want some...but it's high in calories. I'll eat this dish on my cheat day 🥰

Dearest Bumbi, I NEVER spent 25 minutes cooking onions and had a good laugh when I heard you say so. I've been wondering for many years why my onions never looked the way I thought they should! Just found your site and everything looks soooo delicious. I can't wait to get started!! Thank you so very much for lovely videos.

I wish you were my foods teacher in high school. Your voice is so soothing and you narrate so beautifully 😍 💕
  • Last year, I made this for my meal prep week and I swear I ate it two weeks straight and doubled up on the onions (the best part). I had some fresh dill that I needed to use and added to the "raita" and it was pure perfection! This is a regular part of my meal prep at least once a month. Thank you so much, Bumbi❣
  • This is like a very soothing bedtime story! What wonderful food and what a wonderful person ❤❤
