I love that this is slow filming! It helped me feel calm and enjoy cooking with you. The instagram style 30 second cooking videos are stressful to watch so keep cooking at normal pace and filming with the slowness!

WAIT A MINUTE ! ! IS THAT NOT THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CAT YOU'VE EVER SEEN ? ! ?

Thank you for this wonderful recipe. I will certainly try it out. Thank you also for allowing us to hear the sounds of the preparation instead of a voice yakking it was very peaceful watching this.

I've made this twice, first with yellow lentils then with red. I did enjoy the flavour of the red lentils better, it tasted less mung beany. The second time, I didn't use a non-stick pan and had to make it into a hash consistency, which was also yummy! I use vegan pesto instead of tomato sauce for lower acid 😊 thanks for the recipe

This is the best cooking video I have ever seen! No talking necessary. Thank you!

I just made it. I used with red lentils instead of yellow, red onions instead of green, cumin, salt and pepper only for spices and cashew milk. I cut the recipe in a half because of comments on here. And served it with Ketchup! OMG! Like seriously so so good!! We'll do this again for sure. Toddler approved 😅 Thank you!
  • I am not vegetarian or vegan, but LOVE all veggies, pulses etc and find this channel excellent!

Love how you made the sweet potatoes with scallion, chili flakes, garlic, and herbs. I would eat that alone but in the lentil pancake looks amazing. I'm definitely going to try these techniques. Thanks for the inspiration!

I only had red lentils but it turned out great. Used chili flakes instead of Korean, but i love hot spice. I am a carnivore but this recipe is #1 for meatless days beyond Mondays!😊
  • Interesting meal, wonderfully staged. No music, sounds of preparing are so mesmerizing and intense. Great!!!!!
  • Lentils are so versatile, and sweet potatos are so dense in nutrients. I want to try this today

I guess a real cook would consider this "simple". My idea of simple cooking is a baked bean sandwich, which involves toasting 2 slices of frozen bread and opening a can of baked beans :) What a beautiful cat!
  • This looks so good! I need to try it! I also am in love with the first three ceramic bowls you used😍😊...and your cat too! Thank you for this!

I made this with a few modifications, and it turned out delicious. I will definitely make this again. Thank you for posting this.
  • Yum!! i used water instead of milk, (didnt have any) and cumin seeds instead of herbs. It was delicious!
  • I just made this. Very easy and very tasty. For some reason my soaked lentil and plant milk mixture seemed to be much more than what is demonstrated. Everything still cooked up just fine but I had to make it in a larger pan which meant flipping it was very difficult. I’ll try to lessen the amount of lentil and plant milk next time. It’s a keeper. Thank you.

Pesarattu: soak a cup of full mung bean in cold water overnight (I prefer soaking about 24 hours, taking care to wash and replace water until I can see sprouting just beginning). Grind it into smooth paste with an inch of ginger, a clove of garlic (optional), a green chilli(if you like a little kick), not too thin or very thick. Add salt, half a tsp cumin. Optionally you can add half of a finely chopped onion, a wedge of chopped cabbage finely chopped or a small carrot grated. Make pan cake in a creased skillet or frying pan using generous 2 tsp oil around the edge. Replaces omelette.
