What does it feel like to race a mountain bike for 24 hours straight? In this video I tell my story of racing the 24 hours in the old Pueblo mountain bike race. I raced the solo category, but most of the racers out here are on a team.

In this ultra distance cycling story, I talk about what it feels like to raise a mountain bike for 24 hours. I show the highs and lows and everything in between. My 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo Story. 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo breakdown and event story. I also got cactus stuck in my arm. That was rough.

Only YOU could capture the beauty and the horror of a a solo 24 Hr MTB race so well. Thank you!

I'm not a racer, definitely not an endurance athlete by any means...but the way you capture this, narrate and put it all together makes me feel like I'm there! Great stuff dude.

"Push through the darkness, and the light will be so bright!" You continue to inspire, Tyler! ✌

I love how “mitigating the chaos” involved hundreds of people sprinting 100m to their bikes in the literal first seconds of the race 😂
  • @MrBikebros
Dude you are higher than life! So glad we got people like you around!
  • Tbh, this was better than some of the more recent Impossible Route videos. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy those too but the story telling, videography, and creativity on this one were top notch! Cheers!👏

Props to Tyler's son for pressing on! The hug you give him as you drag your butt to your bike and into movement displays so much love and gratitude.

Bro... I needed this one. A little over a month until Unbound and I have major bike fatigue from all of the training. Your videos and story telling motivate me to always be better. Still pissed you won't be in Kansas this year (I get it dude, I just really wanted to meet you and shake your hand 😎) Just another THANK YOU for an awesome film, and THANK YOU for reigniting the fire to get me across the finish line in Emporia.

  • Video takes me back to the 90’s and the 24 Hours of Canaan in West Virginia. Great times. Hard.

The dust and dirt on the lens make it look like old, dirty film. Looks dope! xD
  • @d_weazel
That mental game of just ignoring what your body and brain are telling you, and basically telling yourself lies to get back on that bike. Totally crazy, yet so inspiring. Thank you for that, once more.

Tyler, your description of the great bonk in the middle of the night is amazing to hear. My buddies and I occasionally do 24 hour mtb races, and we all have stories about that shared experience. The focus required, just to survive, while everything is hurting, sends us somewhere we didn’t know existed mentally. Makes for some pretty funny stories too (after the fact, type II fun). Kudos to your son for pushing you!
