My mouth dropped open at the end with the 3D effect(I’m guessing they built a diorama and spliced in the animation... the effect is flawless!!) This is the kind of movie magic that really sparks a sense of wonder. Whereas everything is just explained by CGI now, old films really had that “How’d they do that??” effect!

We all need a Grampy in our life.
-
Grampy is a genius and his generosity has no boundaries.
-
Actually his inventions were pretty clever!
-
I love that junior gets soap, fills the sink with soapy water, then grabs a towel and rubs his face on that and didn’t touch the water 😂😂
-
Grampy isn't just a genius inventor; he's a sorcerer.
-
Grampy is a Legend!
-
I remember watching this cartoon and I forgot about how impressed I was at the last part with the whole 3D umbrella building spinning around.
-
The apartment building and some of the furniture looks quite modern for being 84 years ago
-
they need to pulled out these show back out on TV...
-
0:50 I love Betty Boop's singing, she's has a lovely voice!
-
Kids, don't try this at home, especially the part at 3:57 . These are professional cartoon characters with special training and years of experience.
-
Grampy saved the day! These cartoons are adorable!
-
Anything is possible with a little brainstorming, imagination, and impossible physics! :D

i cannot begin to describe how nostalgic this is for me. my mom had a huge collection of classic cartoons she raised me on like betty boop, felix the cat, casper the ghost, tom & jerry, you name it. glad i can rediscover and re-watch all this stuff and feel the nostalgia to come with it.

How appropriate for Covid-19 times.
-
That 3D animation at the end was insane for the time period
-
Fun fact: Junior isn't Betty's son! But her NEPHEW
-
AH! I knew I recognized that Grampy man ... he also played in this vintage Christmas cartoon that me and siblings watched as young kids called "Christmas Comes but Once a Year". I see he's always helping the little kids out!

Didn’t you just hate it when Mother Nature rains on my parade?
