  • Those aura illustrations were the most realistic I’ve seen. I had to look away. Too traumatising 😂

I literally cried when I watched this video. I have been describing the aura with migraine since I was about 9yrs old, I am now 44. My siblings made fun of me and still do to this day because not one eye doctor was able to tell me what I was suffering with. I have several doctors give me bifocals saying that would help, some told me to take Excedrin but not one of them gave it a name. I was so scared (and still kind of am) that I could be going blind. I suffer from aura with migraine in both eyes, although it started in just one when I was younger. I am so relieved to know that I am not the only person that experiences this. THANK YOU...THANK YOU for making this video.

It is absolutely terrifying when it happens, especially when I am on the metro or far from home and then all of a sudden can’t see. I have found mine are triggered when I’m overworking, not getting enough sleep or dehydrated.. when properly hydrated, the aura migraine episodes will rarely occur. Sending love to anyone else living with hidden disabilities 💙

To me, it's not the headache that is bothering, but rather I feel like I'm always expecting these migraines to happen. It's a non stop anxiety, and it's become a bigger problem than the aura/migraine itself....
  • @chocolacornetta
Ive suffered with these for about 5 years now, and I've found that the biggest trigger for me is dehydration. Drinking water as soon as I notice the aura start actually reduces the severity of headache afterwards. Just something worth trying for anyone who wants ideas.
  • @nilesh_shete
Triggers for me : 1) Dehydration 2) Improper sitting & sleeping postures 3) Physical strain 4) Upset stomach
  • @SunnyDDs
You were more caring about this than any doctors I've talked to about it.
  • @VandalNextDoor
feels good knowing I’m not the only one who goes through this and that there’s actually people who can relate
  • @betmikael28
The blinking in the video almost triggered my migraine

Perfect description of my experience....starts gray then becomes a crescent of sparkling, triangular rainbow crystal like items that then slowly fade after 15 to 30 min. My eye doctor says they are ocular migraines. They are mostly annoying, but like an earthquake, you wonder how long they will last and will they come back right away.
  • @jeromestrain
My husband had this occur about 35 years ago. About 10 years later I started having them. Both of our daughters have also experienced them. Luckily we don't have migraines with them. My husband had the MRI and vision scan, but nothing found. It starts with the amnesiatic spot, then the scintillating scatoma, that passes within 20 min. Thought perhaps glaring light, but I have awakened in the night with them! I find I get them in clusters, like twice in 3 days, then go months or years without another. Both eyes are affected. I just do something big, like washing dishes until it passes. Annoying, but no longer scary. Thanks for you good description.
  • @killavision4068
Your aura animations are too realistic! I felt like I was getting 1😂
  • @jro2818
I swear I thought I was hallucinating when this happened to me!!! Looked like a kaleidoscope
  • @Boldard
Bro, it just happened to me for the first time ever, it looked like the scrolling dead pixels of a broken screen, and I legit thought I was going blind. Absolutely frightening experience. Thanks to God, I didn't have any migraine with it
  • @larryboysen5911
I have that condition...with no physical pain or aches, just the visual aura alone. They occur randomly...perhaps six times a year or less. Lasts about 3-4 minutes. Both eyes are effected. Thank you for this important information!
  • @Artemis-A24
You scared the shit out of me when you showed an example of what the Aura looks like. Thank god I now know that I’m not alone in this and will be fine. How’s everybody’s day going?
  • @davidcoleman9955
The aura animation is SPOT ON ! that’s exactly what i see when I get a migraine 🤦🏽‍♂️ sleep is the best way to treat it for me. I hate it!
  • @dawnhewitt1
At 5yrs old I experienced a devastating migraine with aura attack, I remember waking up stretched out on the couch with a cold cloth on my forehead and my mom trying to give me baby aspirin and water. Our home was really stressful, insane domestic violence happened every day and I would get sick when I was most scared so I knew my episodes were related to stress. It's tough to explain what's happening when you are that young, eventually, I started getting punished for saying that I was sick, I was told that I was trying to get out of chores so I tried to keep it to myself as much as possible. Thanks for sharing this information, great video.
