In 2017, Joss Whedon made the movie Justice League.
In 2021, Zack Snyder corrected his mistake.

Join me as I take a look at the Snyder Cut and how well it stacks up to the original Justice League.
We compare and contrast the two versions and see just what this movie got right and what it got wrong.

Yes I’m aware, Darkseid is Steppenwolf’s nephew... in the comics. In the movie, Steppenwolf is Darkseid’s nephew in the Snyder Cut. Which is what I’m talking about

After watching the Snyder cut I understood why the guy who played Cyborg was so unbelievably pissed. They have completely removed his origin story and make him generic character from the rank of Hawkeye in first Avengers. Imagine being the maincast of a blockbuster and you have done all the scenes and suddenly you are brought to almost cameo position with 10 lines in the whole movie.

Just to clarify, WB didn't green light the snyder cut, AT&T did after taking notice to the social media took advantage of an opportunity needing something to bring people to hbomax which currently is the go to for DC content. Made me sub to hbomax lol

Zack's vision was too broad for his own good but seeing it all come together doesn't only make it all make sense but makes it worth it

Yeah they did say Cyborg did steal the show. His backstory flushed out much better.
  • One minor quibble: in Josstice League, Lois being on scene to calm Superman down before he murders Batman was indeed part of the plan, part of an attempt to wrap up the "Lois is the key" thing. But in ZSJL, she's there on her own volition because visiting Superman's memorial is something she does of her own free will on a very regular basis. This is superior since it gives Lois agency that she lacked in Josstice League, it pays homage to and doesn't short-change her grief and love of Clark, and it leaves open the idea that she still has a role to play.

Zack Snyder's justice League is a masterpiece compared to the original release (edit) I was BLOWN AWAY by it
  • The 2017 version of justice league is like if a parody is released before the real movie comes out

You might have missed it but Cyborg does do a BOOYAH at the 6 assembled scene towards the end when he fist bumps the flash!

It’s baffling that WB thought the most important thing above all else is that the movie be 1 hr 45 mins + credits. They butchered every scene in JL sometimes just to shave a few seconds off the runtime
  • Very happy that the Zynder cut got released. I know Dick Grayson got Teen Titans and the Robins are all very important to DC but I don't think any of the Robins got their own shows/movie. Even Teen Titans Go did a movie of Robin trying to get his own movie

Everyone else: the rise and fall Zach Snyder: you guys just don't understand me

If anything, this movie made the interactions of the League more enjoyable than last time. Like Aquaman and Wonder Woman having a heart to heart instead of him sitting on her lasso and telling her how hot she is. I’m still just not much of a fan of this universe, but the movie was fine for what it’s worth.

I swear you can make Kevin Conroy read the phone book and it would still be the coolest thing on the planet

That ending was so great it gave me chills. Seeing and hearing my childhood favs was great. Imagine Hamill as well!?
