I'm 57 and started Keto, OMAD and IF, over a year ago. I worked my way up to a 36 hour Fast. 12, 18, 24, 36. I didn't just go straight to 36. I lost and Kept Off 70 lbs.. Feel great. NO Knee Pain. I stopped taking Acid Reflux meds. It Works.
  • I love one meal a day! I am someone who likes to eat big, so I eat one really big meal - followed an hour later with a cup of coffee and a piece of toast and jam (or fruit with plain yogurt). And that is it - a two-hour-ish window eating, and a 22 hour fast. I usually eat around 200g of chicken breast with lots of vegetables and rice. I feel full, my weight is dropping fast, and I am no longer anxious about food.

Love how he says we evolved and we were designed in the the same sentence.

I started intermittent fasting about 18 months ago, then I've done keto for some weeks at the time. I'm 33 and this is the best decision ever, I weight the same as when i was 20 (i thought i could never look as good as the ) but stronger, sometimes i can work hard all day long without eating and without fatigue or headaches. It's a long process but it's a life changing tool that i recommend to everyone.

Fasting has completely changed my life 4 days a week I did get up to 6 days Humans live on 25% of what they eat and the other 3/4 doctors make their living on. I have completely reversed diabetes, high blood pressure, tryglicerirdes, "Sleep apnea" fatty liver, inflammation, chronic back pain. My entire quality of live as changed completely. Currently 105 lbs went from size 44 to 32. Only one year. My eyes have opened to food like I never realized what was happening to all of us by food companies and big pharma
  • This podcast changed my life, Went from 265lbs o 220 and still going down. Ket let me change my diet painless and effortless with no hunger.

22 years ago a read a book called “Fit for Life” by Bill Phillips. It advocated 7 meals a days. Small meals obviously that keep your body getting nutrients consistently throughout. Wow!!! Want bad idea that was!! Constantly spiking blood sugar.

I never had a weight problem. I fast to clean up the organs and to help my muscle development. I obtained my goal of ripping up more , a stronger core, leaner muscle , flat belly even after a couple of beers. 💪🏽

I’m on day 7 of intermittent water fast (1 broth based meal a day) and my knee has healed itself .. it’s been years of pain. My bloated belly has disappeared .. and I have 50%more drive at the gym. Not into diets but I’m very into fasting.

I still haven’t watched a full episode since the podcast moved to Spotify.

Fasting is super dope. Autophagy is amazing; I have a rotator cuff injury and decided to do a mammoth 14-day water fast to heal it (well, not so long compared to some people). I'm currently on day 11 and my arm feels like 75% better. Insane

This guy is 100% correct. I've been practicing metabolic flexibility for 5 years and there isn't a day that I train in a carbed up state. I can train in the 19th hour of a 20 or 22 hour fast and have more than enough Energy / Fuel ⛽️ to rip through my workout. The key here is to make sure you stay well Hydrated.

I lost 80 lbs between keto, time restricted eating and 48 hour fasts every couple weeks. I experienced exactly what he is talking about here and my body has retained the ability to switch between carbs and fat. This is the way, 100%.
  • Mark mentioned that anyone who does a 3-5 day fast usually isn't exercising... I've done several 3 day fasts and ALWAYS continued my intense training and cardio.. even my endurance training... also he said that any time that you fast sooner than 14 hours isn't as beneficial... it actually depends on your body type... and it REALLY comes down to knowing your own body... I've been doing a 12-hour intermittent fasting for few weeks now... and I do intense and/or high volume Martial Arts training.. including extensive cardio... and I feel GREAT... and by now I am aware that I'm using fat as energy use... once again.. know your own body.. and find your own way😁... GREAT insight though😁
  • I been on a 20-4 (20 hour no eating, 4 hour eating windows) daily fast diet. And can attest there are no hunger pangs, lost 43 pounds in 4 weeks eat till im full, no calorie counting or food type restrictions. I have a constant natural source of energy. I love how I feel. Do your research and set yourself free from over eating and being overweight.
