We just finished watching and I had to get the mop and mop up from drooling after watching Andy eat that strawberry! We introduced my parents that are in their 80s to your channel a few days ago and I talked to them yesterday and my mother said they watched for 4 hours yesterday and they loved it! My mother said it was addictive! It brought back old memories of their childhood. God bless

Yes, those are potato 'bugs', the larval stage that eats them up. We used to have to pick them by hand. Keep your buckwheat going in the middle of the rows like you have to attract beneficial insects. Buckwheat also converts Phosphorous locked up in the soil to plant available Phosphorous (the P in NPK fertilizer), great for all plants and key for beans. Buckwheat also adds Magnesium. So it's good stuff to have and save seed from to replant.

Happy anniversary! You two are so cute how you are with each other. May the Lord bless you with many more years of happiness.
  • For slugs, I bought copper rings to encircle my cabbage for this year (from a great & popular Scottish youtube channel "In the Garden w Eli & Kate"). My neighbor put Diatomaceous earth on my cabbages a couple times to reduce them.

If you have the gumption to go out at nite with a flashlight, you'll see all the slugs. God bless your family and garden

Here is a quick trick for Japanese beetles. Get some of those yellow milk jugs and tie them to a post through the handle. About three inches from the bottom drill some 1/4 to 3/8 inch holes. Get some cherry extract and mix it with water and put an inch or two in the jug. The color of the jug pulls them in, and the cherry smell makes them crawl in the whole and drown. It won't catch them all, but it'll put a dent in them.
