Dualies are one of my favorite classes in the entire series, and despite being so similar to shooters which see a lot of use, we don't get a lot from these. So let's give them a few buffs and new kits to make them a little better.

To clarify the overrated comment. My point is that despite a lot of comparable stats and positive reception, the class see very little use compared to shooters. I think the reception of how good the class is is higher then how successful they actually are. When making the video and checking tournaments almost all results on this class are the vanilla dualie used by like 3 people. I think the class as a whole is in a worse spot then people generally think if that makes sense. Also yes there are a lot of kits in this video, this isn't a pattern for the whole series I promise but happened to apply here, mainly because since many of them depend on the kits and well dualies got very unlucky with it. I think playing to a good kit is integral for all the ones I gave new kits basically.
  • They’re popular because they’re fun. Legit I think the Grizzco Dualies are THE most entertaining weapons in the entire series.
  • Love the clip of Jared popping off with vDualies during worlds lmao, it really shows off the strengths of that weapon
  • @PetikG
The new Dualie Squelcher kit is a reference to those custom weapon kits you made for Splatoon 2 like five years ago. Don't think you can hide it from me.

Splash wall would suck on Dousers, here’s why 1. Dousers are extremely ink hungry, and considering the fact that splash wall takes up more than half your ink tank, it wouldn’t be the best for it 2. Don’t even think about setting up a splash wall and then using turret mode, you’ll run out of ink so fast you won’t know what to do 3. A majority of the “sticky situations” a Dousers main ends up in is usually because they’ve run out of ink (which is why I run a shit ton of main saver). A splash wall can’t help you when you don’t have enough ink to set up the splash wall. 4. We already have an incompetent sub with a great special, we don’t need that again. My best sub suggestion would be burst bomb, as it would help with combos and paint, and it doesn’t take up that much ink. My more realistic one would be point sensor, because it doesn’t take up that much ink either, and is extremely useful for scoping out choke points and finding enemies to make them easier to hit. Other than that, great video =)

not a second in and every background song is from astral chain, already a 10/10 video

I can’t believe you included an Outer Wilds reference during the talk about Dualie Squelchers. Man it’s just such a good game…

As a pretty diehard duilie player who uses the more passive duillie I love that squelcher kit what I like about squilcher, glooga(especially k glooga, which I loved to use seriously and to ruin the days of people in solo queue kelp some splat zones) and dowser is how fast and affectively they can swap from a more passive area denial/ support to aggro play style.

Something I would change for all dualies is to give them a window during there dodge roll where they can pass through a wave breaker. The class as a whole is disproportionately affected by this special and I believe it could cause balancing issues should wave breaker be buffed to be good. This gives the class a skill based way to deal with the special without having to do clunky jumps or tank the damage

Welp I’m gonna use this opportunity to once again use the comment section as a wishlist and paste my perfect kit idea I’ve had. Dualie Squelchers 3rd kit: Fizzy bomb + Kraken. Fizzy is fairly cheap while offering great paint output, mobility and reliable combo damage. Kraken helps you get in or can be used to save yourself while kiting opponents. This kit is made to be hyper aggressive and keep pressure on while enhancing the situations that DS like to be in. And yeah, it’s the exact kit you gave to dapples. However as a dualie squelcher main I will selfishly say that the kit would fit better on squelchers than on dapples
  • As vDualie main, its heartwarming to see my main not needing many changes compared to the other ones. Good video, Chara.
  • @Vouniern
Hear me out: Dualie Squelchers buff where in its “dualie” mode it gets a smidge more paint and in its turret mode it gets a smidge more fire rate. The catch? Whenever you roll you swap which mode you’re in, and can keep that mode even while moving around. This essentially gives players Dual Squelcher back to those who miss it and makes the main potentially the most unique in the game being able to swap between a shooter or dualie at will. Bonus points if the emotes that use your weapon changes depending on which mode you ended the game in.
  • Nintendo must just hate the dapple dualies because why has my main never had a good kit in 7 years
  • @Onyxs
That Dapple kit is one I’ve been wanting for a while, and while I hope it’s something we’ll get in the future, with how Splat3 is going Dapples will either get screwed out of a 3rd kit or be cursed for the sixth time a terrible kit 😔
  • @RaFaPilgrim
God, a third Tetra kit with both a bomb and Inkjet would be my literal dream. I always loved the weapon since Splat2, but I never played it because the enperry splat dualies kit was better and so much more fun. Chara's idea here is a mix between the two, and I couldn't ask for anything better.
  • @SonicKai2003
Personally, I don't agree with the kit you gave to Tetra. I think the weapon's main weakness it the fact that it's damage isn't the best for the role it plays. I feel like Fizzy, or Burst would be a better sub for it as it would give the weapon a source of chip damage and help it kill faster, and I'd actually give it Triple Splashdown as a special for the same reason, ofc I'd prefer Zip, but since it already has a kit with zip Splashdown would be my next choice. I think both specials synergize with the weapon really well anyway. Also, unrelated, but mad respect for all the Astral Chain music in this video. lol
  • @insomneea
that glooga buff is EXACTLY what I've wanted for the weapon. 48 damage would allow it to actually use jump-firing to approach fights like vdualie and DS often do. Also another thing you didn't mention in the video is that glooga actually already had this 2 shot combo with mpu in s2.
