Had a deposit for the Trailhunter, the day pricing got released I went and got my deposit back. Had it down last May! Waited 11 months for this BS lol... I am now getting a chevy Colorado ZR2! Couldn't be happier.

I held off getting the new Taco because I was waiting for the Pro info, then the price came out 🤣. Looking at the Raptor now.
  • Voting with your wallet is what sends a message. If you complain about something but buy it anyway the company won't make changes. You have to be willing to buy the competition.

Yep, I wanted the trail hunter but the prices pushed me to order a Ranger raptor and I couldn’t be happier……well I would be happier if I had confidence that mine will be scheduled for production this year!

I love the look, color choices, but those prices are going to have people running the other way. The Ranger Raptor is awesome for what you get, minimal add ons, and is crazy capable.

If I had a need for a pickup I would get either a Maverick AWD or a Ranger with AWD.

Every new and used car sold in AMerica are overpriced, but Toyota by far is leading the way. $65K for a tacoma, greedy AF.

In the market for a midsize. Been waiting for the Pro pricing to come out since the beginning of this year. Figured it would be 53-57k realistically with the way the market has been going with all the craziness going on but 65k starting?? God dang do I love the look and reliability of the TRD Pro but I just can't see the value when there are ZR2s brand new fully loaded on the market for 48-52 and stacking up on lots. Its either ZR2 or Raptor for me just because of pricing. Sweet truck though!! Wish they stayed closer to the 50 range SMH.
  • For a hybrid motor and 4 cylinders, the fuel economy is bad, and the worst is the prices are out of reach from most buyers.

I put a deposit down, waiting for the Hybrid/Pro details and pricing. That has since been cancelled and buying nothing for now.
  • @Doughnutscream
Even with the ranger raptor dealership markup, it was still CHEAPER than the TRD pro’s starting price. Now I love tacomas but thats just crazy

I love Toyota trucks, I think the Trailhunter (6' bed) would be the perfect truck for us, however, it's priced out of our reach. Over $13K more than a ZR2, over $6K more than a Raptor, even building a Tacoma TRD Offroad with the hybrid there is no 6' bed option, but per their pricing would be $3K more.

Was so excited when I first saw the Colorado ZR2, but after the price was revealed…..hell no….same thing….over 55 k pre tax/ financing for a V4….
  • @dannypinyan3949
Don't the batteries in the Tacoma way? About 500 pounds with the Electric. motor. So you really don't get all that horsepower and torque with the extra weight Correct.
  • @ColJonSquall1
Well, when Canadian dealers are doing the same for the 2024 Jeep Gladiator, I'm not surprised. For base models its nearly $70K Canadian, vs a Trail Boss Colorado, its $50K CAD ish at dealers. Or hell, Nissan's Frontier Pro-4X, which up here is the fully loaded Frontier, is $52K ish CAD.

It’s ridiculous! We all need to stop buying. Let them stack up in dealerships.

A ranger raptor or lariat with the fx4 package and the 2.7 ecoboost will be my choice. Just waiting to see the pricing with the 2.7 to make the decision. Lariat would be good for keeping the max tow rating a bit higher, but the raptor has that sick 3.0. Conflicted
