You explained everything very well. Thank you very much. This is the best video. I have watched so far on the Toyota Tacoma’s, 2024.

I specifically bought my trd sport for the hood scoop. I don't care that it's non functional I like how it looks

Totally Team Hood Scoop. Dig the Off-Road, but i would probably go with the Sport in 4x4. Yet, still need to see all the TRD Pro information.

Great review! I opted for the TRD Off Road because it’s not much more expensive and you actually get a better ride on the road because the TRD Sport’s suspension is stiffer and because it doesn’t have the rear axle locker. Off roading of course is much better in the TRD Off road. It sits a little higher than the Sport and has all terrain tires on the 17 inch wheels rather than the road tires on the 18 inch wheels. I really need the extra height, the skid plates and rear locker for the amount of snow I get in Wyoming. Also the hood scoop on the Sport model interferes with your vision although less so than my 2021 TRD Sport. The last point is the under vehicle view with the Multi-Terrain camera view on the Off Road.

Rear lockers and crawl control are basically NOT needed for the average driver. 90 percent of tacomas are driven on payment. And for that task the sport is best suited.

TRD offroad does not come with the air compressor. TRD Trail Hunter, yes.

I want the hood scoop on the TRD off road. Can I aftermarket it?

I want the sport, but I like the look of the off road better
  • Is it possible to change out the hood in off road for the sport's hood?
  • I still dont understand the difference between PVM vs MTM camera systems between the two models. Does the offroads version of MTM offer the same 360 view with just more features? Both triggered at low speeds?
  • I will say having lockers is better than not. I’ve used them in my bronco plenty of times to get out of stuff. Atleast get a rear locker if u can’t front

the price difference in Canada is only $600 for stock off road vs sport. Premium is only $200 difference. If you are trying to save $600 you shouldn't be buying this truck tbh. $600 shouldn't make a difference when you are spending $50,000-$58,350 CAD.
