I literally bought my steam deck so I could chill next to my GF on the couch. Honestly can't think of a better way to use it.

I play in bed almost exclusively. Its so comforting, i can no longer be bothered to sit in my padded office chair at the beefy desktop. Comfort is king

Same here playing on the couch. Either my partner is watching something while I play next to her on the couch, or we both have a game on the TV in the background while playing the Deck on the couch. THE BEST! 🤓🕹️

I remember in college playing Mario Kart 64 on 4 way split screen on a 13" CRT TV in the dorm.
  • I’ve only had a SD for about a week, but easily the most time I’ve spent on it (as well as my Switch for since I’ve had it) is on the couch with my wife and son home so I don’t have to hog up the tv

Even in unwanted days such as sick days, the sd might come in handy.

Here's what I do with my deck that i find the most value : 1. while waiting at the airport and during flight. 2. While doing laundry 3. While taking a poopoo 4. Playing games on bed
  • I do like that you included the productivity aspect into it, it makes sense to my day-to-day as well!

I appreciate the authenticity with your answers. Im subbing.
  • First time I’ve ever been compelled to comment on a video just to give props, but the production of this video is amazing. First time I’ve coming across this channel, & was immediately impressed. Smooth & coherent speaking, subtle editing, high quality, no nonsense rambling. I was fully expecting to a see 6+ digit subscriber count, I’m surprised & a bit disappointed that you only have 10k. A milestone to hold pride in, but I have no doubt your ceiling will be much higher. Keep up the good work

I work for a tv station/studio and my favorite way of using my steam deck is in between shoots where i would sit in my techbooth waiting for something to happen. Even my boss took an interest in what i was playing. Im super happy how versatile the steam deck is ❤

Having been a portable gamer since GameBoy (I'm 41), I bought the Steam Deck to play because I didn't have a dedicated PC and at the time, couldn't find a PS5. Fast forward now a couple years, I have a nice gaming PC that I do all my photo editing on, as well as gaming, and we finally got that PS5. My most use case at this point has been, just as you described; sitting on the couch while my wife watches a show or plays another game. When I travel, I always take the Steam Deck and my iPad mini, because I like reading, at it's my main ereader. So, it's not weird at all. Perfect example: Last night I was playing my game on the PC. My wife came home. I grabbed the deck and sat on the couch and she watched a show. I get my gaming in and she doesn't sit there bored. It's really a great relationship tool... 😛

Awesome video man - totally agree on the couch Decking. It’s a lot of the same feelings as console playing but obviously with my PC library, and to some extent, being able to keep the TV off in the mornings just creates a more relaxing atmosphere as well.
  • you talk so good about both legion go and steam deck that ill end up buying a Legion deck
  • @PC-ONE
I use my deck mainly for retrogaming and I love it.
  • @bas919
Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.
  • You nailed it with the last point, now i get to relax next to mt loved one while she watches her shows. Pretty much played the entirety of Elden Ring on the deck, beat the game and am waiting for the DLC (planning on huying it next week) and going to try to beat as well.

I grew up playing a lot of games on handhelds, and one thing I always enjoyed about handhelds was the freedom they gave you. I don’t travel a lot personally, but I still like having a solution to take my games wherever I go and not being bound to a computer desk. I still play on my desktop, but I mostly use it for games that either don’t run very well on the Steam Deck or are just better suited for a desktop setup.
