It has finally come time to get my PDGA Rating. I have so much still to learn, but it's time to get some tournament experience and see where my game is. There were a lot of ups and downs in this round and I learned a lot after playing it. Although I didn't play my best this was a great learning experience and I appreciate everyone that was involved.

Well that didn't go the way I had hoped, but I learned a lot. One of the early steps I have to take in my disc golf career.

I can't get enough of watching this progression. Listening to the comments has taught me a few things too.

I love how you guys sat down together and analysed Brodies round at the end. Felt genuine, honest and real because everybody WANTS you to get better and improve! Can't wait to see you compete and come over to Europe! Keep slinging those discs!!!

You’re a natural athlete. When it’s crunch time you really put your head down and get in a different type of zone. This is awesome to watch. As someone new to disc golf myself, These are really helping me too.

18:08 "Even Paul has bad rounds." ~Paul gazing out into space, trying to think of when🤔

931 is a really solid starting point. Nice job bro!
  • @JudeforLess
16:53 that's the most I've ever seen Paul laugh/smile on camera! "grandma crying in the back" lol!

Props to you for bringing in a new fan to disc golf. I never had watched 1 video till you, Paul, and Hannah had those first videos and I’ve watched more damn disc golf in the past few weeks than I prob should. Paul is a great teacher and fun to watch bc he’s so damn good. Keep the vids coming!

Epic opening first scene guys. Whoever edited this. /Clap. Brodie if it was you, then you are just my new favorite player.
  • @FlyingCC
I played my very first round of disc golf today... taking into account that my longest "drive" is 340ish feet off a terrible back hand throw... I shot an 80 on a par 57. I'm actually extremely happy with that result, so it's down to improving. (Played at Valley Park Disc Golf in Hurricane, WV) Brodie inspired this foray into the sport!
  • An ex-pro once taught me a great bit of wisdom for this sport- you're always playing against yourself...even in tournament. Disc Golf is such a mental game. Keep your mind on you, use your comfortable shots, and put in the time outside of tourneys to better your game. YOU GO BRO!
  • Brodie I am happy for you. I cant wait to see more of you and the discraft team. I am looking at my bag and my throws so much more because of you and Paul. Just keep it up and it will be great. :)
  • @Shadow-vd8ss
Wow. After watching this round it is pretty clear you have amazing potential. You have all the skills necessary to be a pro, now it’s just about consistency
  • @Omgitstehjose
Much respect to you Brodie for having the humor and humility to tease the start of your video with your worst off the tee shot of the round on your first ever pdga rated round and not one of your really excellent throws from the box. That mind set to choose that, and your still upbeat vibe thru the round + the post round interview you all did has really secured my interest and hype for the rest of your venture into the disc golf world. Keep up the good work bro!
  • @kellyguizzo9958
So stoked for you Brodie!!!!!! That was an excellent first round. Practice will bring consistency, don't get down on yourself. Keep it up and thank you for being open to share your journey with us.
  • Completely loving the new videos. Thanks for giving me a new inspiration for the game .

Whether it's mini golf, disc golf, household items golf challenge, I'll always enjoy a Brodie Smith vid!
  • @highbar91
I used to play this course all the time when I was a kid probably 20 years ago (back when the first 4 holes were different, in fact I don’t even remember a back 9). I went back and played it again about a year ago and felt completely at home. Had no idea that this was Paul’s home course, but once I recognized it in the video it made me smile
  • @patrickflinn5432
Really great video that captured the essence of the disc golf challenge. The conclusions in the last few minutes felt the same as every recap at the end of a Sunday morning round. I appreciate the effort to have fun while also chasing achievement in the sport.
