  • I think it makes sense why comic book movies back then especially the X-men movies had to look very grounded and that was mainly because Hollywood still had memories of Batman & Robin.

Mystique's hair looking like a cobra's hood is such a great design choice.

That "Black leather?" dig from Cyclops in X-Men 97 is very powerful and biting, meaning that the next adaptation in the MCU will veer more into the comics aspect as evidenced by Wolverine, Prof. X, and Beast's looks
  • I absolutely love the comic book X-Men designs And the final suits in X-Men Apocalypse prove that they can work in live action, but the black suits are kind of nostalgic for me.
  • Not gonna lie the concepts suits look more better and accurate then the suits we got in the first few movies

The reason Jean was blonde in the concept art was because they were attempting to court Helen Hunt for the role. They probably were just going to send her pics with the character looking visually more like her to butter her up to take the part. I'm pretty sure she was Bryan's first choice to play Jean, too.
  • I swear the x men are the only ones who gets to wear all black suits inspired by blade or the matrix whereas spider man gets to wear his comics accurate suit for the major of the trilogy until we finally get to see a more colorful costume for wolverine in deadpool and wolverine at last til we wait for the rest of the x men wear a suit like in the comics they're supposed to in the mcu
  • I was always mixed on the Singer films and whilst I understood their decision to change the costumes I still dislike it!

I think the black and blue suit with the mask for Wolverine would've been cool to see as his Team X suit in X-Men Origins Wolverine, especially during the Africa sequence. That could've been a nice way to reuse that design.
  • I don’t have a problem with the black but they could’ve added yellow trims and piping along the sleeves and chest and maybe made the suit midnight blue. The designs themselves look great.

For the time, i completely understand and get the feeling. I think given that the X-Men are covert in the first two movies, all black with shades or hints or re or orange/gold is the right way to ease the transi5tion.

I think i would be fine with black leather if it also didnt look goofy. Like you cant make fun of yellow spandex if you look like that

I was disappointed there were no costumes like the X-Men gold and black recruitment uniform. Worn by the original five X-Men, The New Mutants and different styles of the suit worn by Kitty Pryde and Pixie. Didn't appear in the Fox movies. This classic, iconic, and simple outfit would be amazing in the mcu for Kitty Pyde, The New Mutants, and Pixie. I would like to see that outfit appear in the mcu. Not every outfit needs to be striking, professional, or cooler to be a hero. Children, teens, and young adults can be heroes too. Either in fiction or real life. Some outfits can be cute, simple, innocent, or creative to be a hero.
  • Love your videos. I appreciate how detailed they are and what I assume you spend a decent portion of your time spent on making these. You’re a GOAT
