Women's health expert Dr. Risa Kagan, MD, describes osteopenia, osteoporosis, and osteomalacia, which is mineral-poor bone. In osteopenia and osteoporosis, changes in hormones and bone development cause bone weakening and eventually thin, brittle bones.

  • Wow. This is a very good video. I learned a lot. My sister just got diagnosed with osteopenia and she is a heavy smoker and she vapes too at 75. Does heavy smoking and vaping contribute to bone loss?

  • I'm 44 year old man, I just found our I've osteopiena, I broke 4 bones playing football on four different occasions, it was then I got the dexa scan and found out.
