Hey guys! In this video I am sharing my experience trying out the keto diet for 30 days. Some people have had an experience similar to mine while others had a completely wonderful experience. It goes to show that weight loss is not a one-size-fits-all kind of thing. Different users yield different results.

You should count this month as a win because you are working on developing lifelong skills, and you didn't binge through the whole month, even with all the stress. That's amazing. That's a win.
  • @Emily-ol2mk
You should do a “prioritizing my mental health for 30 days” where you try different things for a month to lower your stress and focus on your self care.

I’m a Registered Dietitian. I was in college in the early nineties when all the fat-free foods hit the shelves. A complete marketing scam!!! Some products had less fat simply because they made the portion size smaller! 😡. I just wanted to say that I greatly appreciate your comment that fat isn’t bad, protein isn’t bad, and carbohydrates aren’t bad. YES! 👏👏👏. You are absolutely right! They are all needed in order to have a healthy body!!

It's so fascinating how different people are affected by different types of diets. I'm sorry this was your experience with Keto. As a woman with severe PCOS, thyroid and insulin resistance this is the only life style meal plan that has ever stopped and actually started to reverse those issues for me. But remember, if you wouldn't have tried it, you wouldn't have known this didn't work for your body. Weight fluctuations are normal and I bet you see a HUGE drop in the coming weeks as your body adjusts back to a more balanced diet! Keep up the great work, you're truly an inspiration

When you said "It honestly sucks to tell 300,000 people that you've gained weight - AGAIN" , that hit me so hard. All of us who watch you have gone through that exact same struggle. I'm currently going through that right now too - gaining and losing and then gaining again. I feel you in feeling defeated but remember - you're a warrior to keep trying and this isn't a fail if you learned a lot about yourself and what your body needs. That truly is a WIN even if you can't feel that right now.

Seeing Bea tear up makes me so sad:( We’ll never be disappointed in you for gaining weight, we’re here to support you ❤️
  • Oh B, my heart sank when you got emotional. You are doing the best you can during a PANDEMIC! Give yourself some grace. You have had a lot of change going on in your life and you deserve to cut yourself some slack but I am so proud of you for holding yourself still accountable!
  • What I love the most about this channel is this rawness. You have no idea how much you help me with my personal journey
  • OMG Bea!! Do you really think we watch you only to see you lose weight?? Noooo! We watch you because you're comforting and nice and so relatable! You're on this journey to lose weight, and we're all here to support you 100%, but we'd never be disappointed in you for gaining weight!! This is a JOURNEY, and a journey doesn't always promise to be smooth and bump free. Please dont be sad. I know it hurts when you work so diligently toward something and dont get it. I just got rejected from my dream college couple days ago, and I legit felt worthless. But its okay. Its not the end of the world. We will get right back up and come back stronger and harder! Lots of love <3 <3

What I took away from this video: You stuck to a lifestyle change for a month✅ You eliminated a diet that does not work for you✅ You didn’t binge under pressure ✅ So what if you gained a few pounds, look at the growth and insight you gained! You got this B

I’m so sorry this is how things went for you. I’ve had PCOS and irregular psycho periods for the longest, and it was only after 6 weeks on keto that I finally got regulated...right away. Just goes to show our bodies can absolutely respond differently. Hope you get what you need. Less anxiety is always gonna help!
  • Stress holds onto weight like nobody's business. You learned a lot in this month. No fails. Smile. We are all rooting for you, no matter what the scale says!

Not binging is a HUGE win! virtual hug for everyone

"I'm just a random person on the Internet!" - I wish more people/influencers would acknowledge and remind their followers of that <3
  • Girl I feel you! I have battled my weight since I was 14 years old. I am now 32. I have been through three major weight losses where I lost over 50 lbs each time. After my first weight loss I had two twin pregnancies, and had to lose major weight after each pregnancy. I lost it after my last (and yes final) pregnancy but it all came back! Talk about feeling defeated. I am now at my heaviest and trying to find the motivation and endurance to do it again...for a fourth time. Just keep trucking girl, and learn to love yourself the whole way through. That's the key I think.

Oh babe. I just want to give you a hug. You’ve done so well getting this far. One blip on something that isn’t for you isn’t any drama. You’re awesome. I hope you’re well these ways. We’ve been in a pandemic. I have gained. I am kinda in two minds of starting a YouTube channel or blog thanks to you. You’re awesome. Xx

Wow B, I was so sorry to hear that you felt so defeated after this month. Here are some positives that I noticed: 1. You didn’t binge, even after a stressful time 2. You stayed aware of your body & listened to it to determine what was and was not working for you 3. You stuck to an eating plan 4. You are planning on going to a doctor 5. You quickly focused on eating more veg ♥️♥️♥️ learning what DOESNT work is really important, too!!
  • If it wasn’t for you I would never have started taking care of myself. Don’t be sad, you are my inspiration.
  • @kiirkip
Thank you for the feedback on keto. I was considering it as a desperate attempt to deal with my endo. Its helpful hearing about your experience. Much love sis ✌

Awwww Bea. This video really hit the feels in my journey in losing weight slowly but surely but as well as increasing my mental health and decrease the stress and anxiety that occurs in my life. Watching you is very inspirational to me and comforts me that we are all not in this alone. I hope you don't feel alone when you say you have that feeling of defeat after trying very hard to get a positive outcome. For now, it is very hard to get back up but in time, you may or may not look back, see, and think "wow, remember that time when I tried to change my life for the better, but it just didn't work out.. (weeks to months to years later...) but look at me now, better than ever before". Take a break every now and then. Don't stress yourself out over something like this, this diet is not meant for everyone just like you disclaimed at the beginning and that's okay. You will find something that works for you. I know it because you are very determined and motivated individual from what I've been able to see from your social profile (obv I don't know you personally, but this is all I can gauge from). :) Keep up the good work. It's okay to fall, just gotta get back up! ❤️
