You guys are totally right! My daughter's name is Dahlia and this was a huge controversy for my husbands side of the family. When I was pregnant, everyone kept openly telling me that they didn't like that name which is crazy to me 😂 but I am so glad I didn't let anyone's opinion take me away from that name. She's a year old now!

L&D nurse here! We have to set up the OR beforehand, do prep on mom, make sure our counts of equipment are correct with no interruptions, we also open mom up first to make sure no complications come up so when dad comes in we cover her real quick so he doesn’t see all the blood….. We also have to do a “time out” before we start with no one else in the room but the patient and staff beforehand… Then we go get dad and it goes quick from there! :-)

We didn't share our name because we wanted the ability to change our minds. Also, I just don't want to hear anyone's opinion. We also named our son after my husband, but we weren't really sure until he was here.
