About Over The Garden Wall:
On an adventure, brothers Wirt and Greg get lost in the Unknown, a strange forest adrift in time. A wise old woodsman and bluebird Beatrice help them find their way. Along the way, Wirt's thoughts envelope him, while the wonder of the surroundings preoccupy Greg. The miniseries -- based on creator Patrick McHale's cartoon short "Tome of the Unknown" -- features animation that evokes a nostalgic storybook feeling, inspired by folk art and classic illustrations. The voices include Elijah Wood and Christopher Lloyd with Samuel Ramey, Chris Isaak and John Cleese among guests.

About WaterTower Music:

It has been the soundtrack home to many of the world’s most iconic films, television shows and games since 2001. We need way way more animated shows with this type of atmosphere, story telling, art and music

I’m gonna say it, everyone’s been thinking it, Over the Garden Wall is a modern masterpiece.

The two sweetest things in human history: - Greg singing - Wirt joining in and laughing
  • I just realized "The old black train" literally is about the original concept for the show where Wirt and Greg were on a train instead of the woods and instead of the woodsman there was a conductor. Cool reference

Did y'all know that this absolute master piece won an Emmy?!
  • @MildSatire
A masterpiece of our time. My heart sways every time I hear that opening theme.

Wirt’s laugh at the end of Adelaide Parade genuinely never fails to make me happy. he’s so anxious and forlorn throughout so much of the series, so hearing him laugh so openly and joyfully to the point that he even snorts is so frickin’ cute!
  • @lucient.m.8453
I find it funny how this video is half as long as the entire show

Over the Garden Wall is a genius retelling of Dante's Inferno. Being able to allude to the different circles from Dante's Inferno without out right stating them and making them family friendly is an enormous task that the creators successfully did beautifully.
  • This series would make such a cool dark ride at a theme park! It has visually interesting characters, great music, fun lightheartedness mixed with genuinely scary parts, and a storyline that is simple to follow yet vague enough to always feel mysterious. And to me, old school styled dark rides where you’re in a squeaky little cart going scene to scene evokes a sense of nostalgia and Americana, which totally suits the settings and aesthetics of the show. Sigh maybe some day...

'as autumn colors fall' is my favorite lyrical double entrende.
  • you know a soundtrack is amazing when a prelude brings you to the brink of nostalgic tears

Over the garden wall is 10 now time sure flies

Otgw is a perfect example of how to mix music and story telling. I really dont like musicals because i think characters all the sudden bursting into song and dance is cheesy and most times akward and forced but when media knows how to incorporate music without these elements you create a masterpeice. The backround music, characters singing in a matter where its believable (greg singing goofy little songs as a child would, the people of Pottsville singing at their annual celebration) it just feels so natural. I think over the garden wall and adventure time are truly the only shows to have achieved this
  • My cat's dying right now. Thought he'd be ok but the vet said she's surprised he's even made it this far. I don't know, this just puts me in my not-happy-not-sad place. Kinda need that right now
  • @21n1na
No cuz this music makes me feel nostalgic, sad, and happy all at once
