I'm 9 years into my Multiple Sclerosis journey, I have Clonus in both legs and it is just exciting to all my doctors and nurses, they show everyone.

This happens to me quite often. I didn’t know it had a name and I didn’t know it was caused by the angle of my ankle. I can’t walk anymore so I only notice it when I’m seated. It doesn’t hurt and I usually find it funny when it happens. It stops as soon as I change positions. Thanks for the info, I learned something new today!

About 20 years ago I had RESTLES LEG SYNDROM. When in bed my foot wanted to dance. My Doctors said they could try different drugs. I found my own way to control it. I bought a fiber ankle brace . I wrapped it around my foot and ankle. No more night dancing. I always figured it was the feel of the materiel on the bottom of my foot that gave my brain something else to think about, so it forgot to dance. Thanks for the info.

Very similar to spasticity, but usually spasticity is painful. Also occurs for people with upper motor neron injuries. I have a cervical spine contusion corrected by ACFD C3C4 and C5C6. Recovery is a bear with tons of PT. It affected my legs and gait - myelopathy, but your MS videos are great since my symptoms are similar.
  • Oh thank you so much. My daughter has had MS for 27 yrs and this is first time hearing of this. Thanks so much for all this info

Thank you for the actual NAME of this condition. It for sure pops up when I’m mentally frustrated, closing in my body to keep my anger inside. Worse in my left, sometimes in my right. I grew up playing and performing with my violin. My conductor hated my 1/2 time leg bouncing. I was diagnosed 20 years ago and I just thought it was MS and old muscle memory. 😅
  • I was at OT/PT and standing on a teetering front back balance board. After a while of trying to balance and do other activities suddenly I lost control and unintentionally ankles were bouncing on the balance board. Clonus? During my initial assessment they tested me manually, but didn't activate it. 🤷 Must be exercise/exhaustion caused
