Multiple Sclerosis Fatigue - How Cocoa helps 🍫
Published 2024-01-08
Around 90% of people who have MS, have experienced or live with fatigue. It's often very debilitating and can be quite invisible to others but has a huge impact on people's lives. Looking for ways to help with symptoms and especially those which are natural is always something that interests me.
I have been drinking Cocoa for around the last 10 years and do find that it helps me and improves my energy levels - it's quite an acquired taste but I enjoy it a lot!
Here are some of the links to the research that I mentioned. You can also find information in Journal of Neurology Neurosurgery & Psychiatry

Hello Laura, I've been using organic raw cacao powder in my smoothies and coffee for years. I don't know if it helps with my MS, but it's a potent super food, so it must be beneficial. Plus, I'm kinda of a chocolate junkie.🍫😄 Keep well and stay beautiful!

Hi Laura, i am 30 years dx RRMS this year(dx at 17 years old), and while I’ve faired very well as my disease course has been mainly sensory spinal/optic neuritis/some minor ie single instance mid brain/brain stem involvement , fatigue is my main challenge. It has worsened each 5 years and while I take Modafinil to help, I still cannot manage to live a “normal” life now purely due to MS Fatigue. With the emerging scientific data on Epstein Barr Virus causing MS, Cocoa with its Anti-Viral properties makes logical sense as a helpful adjunct for MS Patients I have just started to drink Aduna Super-Cacao Powder from Amazon as it’s Raw African and very high in flavonoids I will update on my progress with it. Thankyou so much for highlighting this rarely mentioned source of help for for MS fatigue xxx
