The fact that when you die you switch bodies with someone else and have to kill your previous character is absolutely amazing and sounds so cool.

I love how when you're about to die, sometimes your character will nervously laugh, it's pretty scary

Fun fact; this game could be considered a spiritual sequel to Ubisoft's first ever game -- 1986's "Zombi".

The biggest horror of this game is being the fact that, you have to be british. God imagine being Anglo, what a horrid fate.

ZombiU is like one of the few zombie horror game where you can feel your character is actually tried their best struggle to keep alive, you can hear your character roaring and frustration with each hits against zombies with your weapons to remind you that your character is just a regular civilian, the mechanic of lockpicking doors and the camera switch behind to your character's view to see a potential nearby zombies slowly heading towards you is a perfect execution and I'm surprised that there's no any other games in the same genre does this. The atmosphere of the game is damn perfect, it set the tone and mood of the outbreak apocalypse in London and it's how other zombie survival horror game should have been.

I love how in the game's lore London and its society collapsed in one week, to the point where most of the people were dead or infected. And the PM completely ignored the infection at first. Britain, I guess.
  • I like how this game has a incredible story. You're an American visiting Britan and the inhabitants keep saying things like "Innit" and "Gov'na" or "Crikey" and get angry when you don't understand their garbled nonsense. Luckily being an american you have access to a large variety of firearms. Masterpiece of a game and thanks for doing it justice in your video.

I literally got this game for free with xbox gold, played it once, and never touched it again. not cause its boring. but because it scares the hell outta me. i have never been more terrified in a zombie apocalypse game in my entire life.
  • @metalgrimm
I really like the feature when a player turns into zombie when you died
  • is it just me, or did the accent and location of it all add a more terrifying aspect to the game/ and that fuckin nurse zombie, being in a goddamn children’s hospital didn’t help, was and still is the scariest game i’ve ever played
  • I can't be the only one wishing we had a Switch sequel. I still go back and play this game a lot. Hell, I actually enjoy going back and discovering new glitches. My only massive complaint is that you don't get to fight the queen at the end.
  • @John.McMillan
I actually always liked in Ubisoft games the glitch where enemies talk one last time before finally being dead on the ground. Almost feels like that last "up yours" from the enemy even though it's a glitch.

Interesting little bit of British trivia, my guys. The guy who voices the Prepper is the same guy who plays (or rather, played) Johnny in Coronation Street. Plus he voiced Djikstra in Witcher 3.

Also if you plan on revisiting the game any sooner id reccomend you doing a Gun only run the game is very resourceful with ammo and using stomps and pushing to your advantage is crucial

2:49 When I got to this part, I couldn't help but laugh due to how cursed this short cutaway was. Seriously, why does the kid on the left look both old and young at the same time? He looks like he's about to head off to the pub after school is over 🤣

The best way to play this imo is on a WiiU, in the dark, on Iron Man (survivor) mode and sleep deprived if you can. The zombies are a threat enough but when your decision making goes to the dogs and you're fighting not only the zombies, but your own body just to stay alive for just a minute longer. That's true immersion right there.
