School Days: Recap and Reaction of the Most Controversial Anime

The original School Days game had two goals; being the first game to ever be completely animated and voice acted like a playable anime, and telling a story that was bizarre like the Fargo movie. Since the novelty of the first goal is completely redundant when adapting it into an anime, the anime had to focus on the second goal in order to make the impact it wanted to, and boy howdy did they succeed. However, being effective at getting the reaction it wants from you often means an unpleasant experience for any viewer who goes in expecting a normal show.

Also if this looks bad the manga, spinoffs, and visual novels are like a bad drug trip.

They should make an anime for Summer Days and Cross Days

One thing you have to give credit to School Days for is that after it came out harems started to stray away from the cliche "lol everyone is love and everything is fine in the end when the guy can't choose or cheats!". Although in recent years harems definitely have returned to the cliche roots.

I love and hate this anime. Makoto is such an unlikeable and generic guy I have no idea how any girl would want him besides anime logic. I watched this anime and when I saw the ending I was simply baffled by what I had watched. For everything that's in it I love it because to me it's the quintessential anime. There's drama, there's unnecessary drama, boobs, big boobs, violence, and that yandere. I can't help but feel bad for kotonoha because she literally did nothing besides not wanting to be forward with Makoto. Can't blame her for being nutty.. Honestly despite this my favorite girl is Setsuna because she's such a gigachad. Also nice name it's the name I use too (kino)
