Zach in 'Midnight Mass' was spectacular!

Minka Kelly was 26 playing a HS student and she definitely looked the part. She never ages!

The "I need to go pray" scene is one of my all time favorites. Lyla was so important to me as a young person, the way she stood her ground and wasn't afraid to be herself was amazing to see ❤

Through multiple viewings of the series, Lyla has been both my most liked and disliked character. She was at times the brightest, cutest, most loyal, and other times the most annoying, self-righteous and stuck-up. That all speaks to Minka's talent as an actress. But after watching this interview, I just love the totality of her heart. What a beautiful and gracious human being.

Never clicked on an episode so fast! Loved Minka Kelly in this interview. Also some healing took place here I can tell, was so beautiful!

Who would have thought the strike would affect season 2 years after it’s over. This season is truly cursed
  • @grantstevens8099
Loved the way Minka played Lyla. Also, there's something so soothing about her voice. Great episode guys!
  • This episode was one of the best yet. Minka's honesty was elevating. Not to bash Mae, but when she's co-hosting, there's so much irony, jokes, ranting... How genuine Minka is, how she opens up, how the three are real with each other, is so good. Great conversation, great dynamic. Wish it lasted longer!

Let’s go!!! As someone who was born disabled I related to Jason. I loved his relationship with Lyla so much so that I named one of my characters in a book I’m writing Lyla. Lyla and Jason’s relationship is very beautiful. The way it changes and evolves as they mature is absolutely beautiful.

I love that she has a connection with you guys and Mae in way as she worked with you guys in FNL & then in Parenthood with Mae. I'm not sure if she ever had scenes with her. Just like MBJ, he was Vince Howards then he dated Haddie on Parenthood, also Luke Caffery & Ryan York (Matt Lauria) I hope for these guests soon & I hope Mae is there for the reunion.

So happy Minka agreed to be on the podcast. She was such an integral part of the show. I never hated Lyla. I think if those same bloggers watched it now, they'd have a different opinion.

Heard her go on Dax Shepards podcast. Never knew how challenging and complex her upbringing was. What an incredibly unique person. Also incredibly attractive in so many ways! Excited to dive into the rest of this episode
  • @kaylaaruiz_
This episode was so raw and meaningful - just like the show! So happy to see you all together. Minka seems like such a beautiful person 🤍

Love Minka. This is probably my favorite episode you guys have done so far, loved getting to hear her perspective

Scott, big thank you to you and Zach for doing this podcast series. It's awesome.

    1) Regretfully, it is not mentioned here but Minka's memoir is out and it is AMAZING. Stop whatever you are doing and go get it. One of my favorite books of the year, easily. 2) For future episode, can you talk about the podcast itself? How did it come to be? How in the world did you get Zach onboard (heh)? When do you actually record? How do you go about getting sponsors (which seemed to have increased) What have you learned since you started? 3) Minka, Zach, and Scott all have lovely voices 4) additionally, Zach, we need you to work through how you got to the show because like everyone else you clearly were made for your role. Can't wait to get to the "everyone leaves me" episode and, of course, The Son. Emmy worthy.

Omg, what a lovefest this episode was, I'm still teary-eyed. Minka seems like such a genuine person and a beautiful soul. I feel like I will rewatch scenes through different eyes after hearing her describe your experiences in filming them. I missed Mae, but this was a wonderful episode!
  • Great episode!! I really need to read Minka’s book, can’t wait to read it! She did such a wonderful job on the show it’s so interesting to hear her perspective! Even though she was new to the industry and she felt like she didn’t know what she was doing, as someone that watched the show more than once I honestly would have never have known! With any of the characters, you all did such a wonderful job! Thank you for having Minka on she is so awesome!! 🙌❤️✨ps- your voice is so calming I don’t know how people could comment on it and say anything less 💖
  • @BookwormJen4
Happy to hear you talk about whatever you want to! Some of my favorite moments have been when you go off topic to tell a story - your reactions to and interactions with each other are the best part of the podcast! Chat about what you’ve been up to, hobbies and things you like to do when not working, interesting experiences, etc. 😊
