Can honestly say I wished this episode had gone another hour. This may be my favorite episode yet. Amy is an incredibly sweet, intelligent and thoughtful young woman.
  • Matt and Julie were my favorite couple on the show♥️
  • As soon as Zach dropped the "Julie Saracen" (perhaps) comment, I knew this was going to be epic. This episode does not disappoint. It's on continual repeat for me.

Needs to be rebooted So cut to, Matt and Julie are married, he’s the new Coach. Of course, Julie is the new Principal. Riggins has a son who’s the star of the football team and Julie and Matt have a 15 year old daughter he’s in love with. Coach and Tammy have guest spots as grandparents. Riggins sons mom is Lyla but they aren’t married, he ended up with Tyra. The cue to Landrys son who’s the nerd and Riggins sons best friend. It would sooooo work and people would love it!
  • I have died and gone to heaven. What a DELIGHTFUL conversation and I'm so glad that Aimee is getting the credit that she deserves. Matt and Julie's relationship is why I stayed with the show especially because Zach and Aimee's chemistry is palpable and still evident to this day. Like someone wrote below, the love is real. Thank you team for sandwiching this episode in between the end of S1 and S2. Like Scott said, the S2 premiere is quite jarring. I think the only two people I could tolerate are Landry and Tyra. Watching this softens the blow. So glad that no one liked the Swede storyline. [barf] But it's a small price to pay for the great overall arc of Matt and Julie individually and as a couple. p.s. Zach, the correct answer is that M&J had a long engagement and only came back to Dillon to periodically visit. Julie never changed her last name. ;)

Honestly one of the things I loved about the show was how polite and genuinely sweet the characters were with each other and you see that here.

Matt and Julie definitely moved back to Dillon and bought the Alamo Freeze. Now they own a bunch and Matt displays all his art in them.

I started to cry awhile back rewatching the episode where Matts dad died but it was bc of Coach and Julie when he hugs her and tells her “I’m not going anywhere” bc he knew exactly why she was crying.

I didn't even know their was a FNL's podcast! This was/is one of the best shows ever. I'm going to start checking these out while I'm working out. Also, loved Aimee....had a crazy crush on her from this and the beginning of the Scream movie lol

This the first time watching this podcast and I love it. Love seeing Zach talking about watching the show now as a parent himself.
  • Your memories of working on FNL remind me of my experiences leaving home to go to college. You are thrown into a scary experience far from your childhood comforts. Nobody tells you at the time but life will never be better than those few years. The camaraderie and hijinks can never be duplicated when the reality of adulthood kicks in around 30. Great pod! • @caesar_44
Holy shit, didn’t know this pod existed! Great discovery.
  • My favorite podcast. But how much better would it be if Aimee was here full time. Not only for the chemistry between her and Zac but she would give the perspective of someone who was with the show from the pilot to the finale.
