  • We who have a ear for music know that the Marvelettes were and will always be Motown super stars, rest in peace ladies!!!!
  • One of the best Female Groups of all times hands down ! Never Forgotten. I listen to The Marvelettrd all the time even in 2023 Yes ❤❤❤

It is a shame they are not in the rock and roll hall of fame. They were one of the first great female musical groups. I think the rock and roll hall of fame is based on popularity. WBPTV, great video always. 👍
  • The music business is dirty, and those singers work hard. Great video. May those ladies be Resting In Peace!!
  • I guess Rev.Franklin had legitimate reasons for not allowing Aretha to sign with Motown!

I’m born and raised in Detroit. I feel like the Marvelettes, were simply wonderful. Yes! they were abandon and pushed aside like so many other groups and solo artists at Motown 😢 I have Big Respect and Plenty of Love for them. 😂 They will always live in my heart ❤️
  • How in the hell could these fabulous women be denied entry into anybody's hall of fame, the hall is bogus. One of the greatest groups ever. Love you, salute you. Thank you.
  • @ritagildon5125
The Marvelettes where Motown's Best female #1 just my opinion and on their tails very close was Martha and the Vandellas , of course Florence Ballard and Mary Wilson were fantastic ❤ too. Love them all Rest in heavenly Peace to all those Beautiful and talent ladies. God sure blessed you with the Gift of wonderful voices that will be missed in our life time. Thank you Ladies forever for sharing them with us all.

I ABSOLUTELY luved this video!! I luved the Marvelettes, with Wanda, Gladys!! They were horribly ignored n underated! You gave them a voice, n we all heard, thanks!😮😮
  • One of my favorite Motown groups that put Inkster on the map. Thank you so much for this story.
  • Oh hell no! They marketed the Wanda’s album as the Marvellettes but screwed over Flo? That is so messed up!!!
  • The Marvelettes is My All Time Favorites Motown Girl Group! Off All the Girl Groups, to Me Their Songs Were ALWAYS THE FUNKIEST!
  • @laminage
Their legacy is still strong in Europe. A couple of years ago The Saturdays A Girlgroup did "their" version of Please Mr. Postman on a Special saluting The Carpenters. Someone forgot that it was a "Cover" Version. In The UK Motown, Chess Records, The Philly Soul Sound and Northern Soul are still very popular.
  • Let me say something motown and berry pushed aside lots of groups who gave them number 1 hits the marvelettes is one of them. And Martha and The Vandellas and let's not forget even though Motown and berry were only focused on the supremes let's remember they were only focused on diana they didn't give a care about Florence or mary so Motown and berry pushed aside a lot of talent because they were only focused on Diana and getting her to a Solo career.
  • I'm so glad there are so many tribute channels to them they weren't honored like the supremes and other motown acts .

I feel bad that Georgia couldn’t live out her dreams due to her father’s demands to stay home and be a caretaker for her younger siblings, you can tell that she has regrets and that it truly hurt her.
  • @jameskookie
EVEN THOUGH I AM A BIG SUPREMES FAN😊 , I AM SO GLAD THEY MADE THIS DOCUMENT. AS FOR BERRY, HE HAD $$ ON HIS MIND. IT WASN'T FAIR, BUT HE CONCENTRATED ON THE SUPREMES BECAUSE DIANA ROSS HAD THAT CROSSOVER VOICE THAT WOULD CATAPULT THEM TO UNLIMITED SUCCESS.

What a beautiful, wonderful group the Marvelettes were! Their songs just always can give me a good feeling on the inside.
