I was going on 3 years of complicated grief and talked to my doctor about it. He just said I had temporary episodic depression due to the sudden loss of my husband. No referral, no advice. WTH? Finally I joined a grief support group that helped, but I needed it way before I found it. I was really struggling and it was affecting my health in several ways.
