I feel like this would be much more of an issue if the characters didn't have such distinctive animations. From 50m away, I do not see what color skins the characters have, I mostly notice the animations and skeletal structure of the characters. When they are close enough for "close range" you can easily tell who is which. These skins are cool, I don't see any issues that could arise from these or any heat of the moment mistakes in game.

It isnt about the outfit. We read characters by movement. My blind ass never recognizes what a character is wearing, but see how Octanes arms move while running? Lifeline for instances kinda plops around its almost kinda cute how she walks and runs. They all have very unique mannerisms while traversing the maps.

I don't cover skins a ton, but these skins are unique and could be impactful to gameplay and strategy. Which is why I am covering it.

correct me if im wrong, but I could have sworn I read an interview where devs said maintaining very distinct character silhouettes and shapes and themes was very important for visual clarity. i know the devs would not lie.

It's almost impossible to consciously leverage the advantage of being misread for another legend and It's not like we're playing cs go. Where people are looking for a skin that would make them less likely to be noticed at certain corners. This's something new and fresh, so I wouldn't pressure legends for theirs cosplay fashion. Though, hope devs won't let it go too far.

The scenario you guys brought up about being engaged in a fight and getting confused by the skins that happened to me last night I broke a Rev pushed up and shot the dude just for him to be now on purple armor full health (it was a conduit 😢) the Rev had pushed way back and she swung out in front and completely threw me for a loop

Well on the other hand if you want to all of your squad to use the same skins you can if you use these skins, that's one aspect I like about them...

Overall I think most of it is pretty cool and the concerns we raised will likely have little impact in the bigger picture. I do wish Lifeline got her own identity though, like Loba's armor is distinctively a wolf/wolf themed for example.

you should use a new player in the test, and put him to choose what legend is like in 50-70 mts distance

This have been a problem for so long. Some legend skin have too big of a difference than the og skin that it is hard to tell who that is
