This play, that play. When you lose, it's nearly every play. On a final drive, it's every single play that costs you the game.

They Chiefs took advantage of Bosa crashing down like that multiple times in the 2nd half with the option run, then also the TD to Hardman in OT took advantage of that tendency too. That's Andy Reid. He finds a minor flaw and exploits it over and over, just like the communication flaw with the Eagles passing off receivers in their zone defense last SB.

You notice how Kelce's route covers Bosa's vision during the handoff? You can see Mahomes ducking and keeping Kelce between him and Bosa as long as possible so he's blind and guessing. Such a clever play design, you just know that stuff's intentional.

Mahomes had a pass option if Bosa stayed home. Perfect play call in that situation. Very tough to defend
  • @blindthief
I don't expect him to do everything but he usually comes up big in potential game winning drives and prevents big plays. The Chiefs stars stepped up when they needed them most and that was the difference between The Chiefs and Niners

Andy Reid constantly took advantage of Bosa’s undisciplined attack. Romo consistently pointed out that whenever Bosa stayed disciplined the KC drives stalled. BUT, like all season, Bosa had very little discipline.

He had almost ZERO shot on that play. Even if he read that Kelcy was there for a lead block, it would've had to have been a Herculean play. The play call was brilliant.
  • @SarkDawg
Bosa’s response? Blame Wilkes and have him fired. Pathetic. Now we know why they are called the Fortywhiners.

This is the same play different formation that won the super bowl and it's a play against Bosa the same scheme Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs brought up against JJ Watt a 3 time defensive player of the year, is their intence play(MOTOR) sometimes affects their judgement when you don't even block them and as you can see nobody touches Bosa.
  • @jeffbrous4532
Bosa also bit on the fake on Tom and Jerry. Reid was using his lack of discipline against him.

The way Andy Reid had both Pacheco and Kelce cross and block Mahomes was genius. Chiefs plays are on another level compared to the rest of the NFL.

Common sense says Bosa abandoned his edge assignment. It just doesn't make sense that the 49er DC said, "let's intentionally abandon half the field to the enemy in exchange for having our edge guy make the tackle way out of his lane instead of one of the other four guys we pay to make that tackle who are in a better position to make it. On 4th and 1, where a stop wins the SB. Yeah, let's take that risk." Bosa acted on his own. And if I'm wrong and the DC planned this, his office should be empty by Noon today.
  • @Maxturnbull24
this is a common read play bosa has to be discipline and keep the edge.

Kelce was in Bosa’s way. It was genius to have Kelce run in between Bosa and Mahomes. Bosa would’ve had to take out Kelce and then Mahomes would have 1 on 1 with Kelce’s defender to try to get 1 yard
  • @JK.Palomba
Bosa has to get his hands on Kelce right there. Even if Kelce was going out for a pass instead of blocking you HAVE TO DISRUPT HIS PATH. Not only did he lose contain but he allowed kelce to get to the second level and make a key block. Doesnt surprise me though because Bosa comes off as a complete dummy in his press conferences. Dude has a couple screws loose or has just been hit in the head too many times.
  • THE ONLY PERSON WHO GETS THE BLAME IS KYLE. OT should have never happened in the first place. 4QT. 1:57 at the Chiefs 35. They have two time outs! Forth Down Territory! 3rd and 4. PASS??? You run the ball. They have 1:27. 4th and 1. You get it it’s game over, drain the clock make the field goal with less than 20 seconds. 🤦🏾‍♂️ THATS MADDEN SHIT!!!
  • @markfazzina3279
I completely agree and thought so in the moment. You have to trust your teammates but he wanted to be the hero and lost contain which you can't do in that situation.
  • @JanoyCresva
Assignments are built into the defensive call. Take this up with the DC.
  • @theresaherman
Old guy here. I’ve always thought that on 3rd or 4th down, the Chiefs should have MaHomes rollout with the option to pass, run, or pitch. Triple option, only use it in case of emergency. Sounds like Andy Reid listened to me. HaHa.
