Literally was wondering the entire first half which punter would win SBMVP.

Tommy had a MONSTER game, I loved it, without this Special Teams unit there's no way the Chiefs win this game

i cant believe townsend knew that the defenders foot was gonna be there, i guess thats why they pay him the big bucks. welll played.
  • TT & Butker are the dynamic duo of the special teams brilliance in this story. TT would get my vote for MVP πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

He "singlehandedly contributed" is an awesome phrase. Great video!

The 49ers had that beautiful punt to the 1 that deserves a shoutout

Kickers/punters are always overlooked, even though they have carried games on their shoulders MANY times before. The man had a damn good game for sure. 5 seconds of hangtime on the short punts is incredible. Distance is great, but that hangtime can be the difference between no return, and a runback. Good on him

Townsend, if you ever find this video I want you to know that for the 60,000 of us subscribed to this albeit small channel it is a Noble and Just channel, you are OUR Superbowl MVP.

Man, I been telling anyone that will listen, TT was absolutely fantastic.

It's good to hear kickers getting some love. Fans have the tendency to only notice their mistakes.

Ray Wersching should have won the Super Bowl MVP for the 49ers back in the 80s. He scored 14 of San Fran's 26 points, and none of his kickoffs were returned past the Bengals' 20 yard line. My buddies and I agreed on his greatness that game, watching it on TV, live. Nobody else really had a great game, so they give it to the QB.

townsend, butker, and winchester kept the chiefs alive for 3 quarters in that game. awesome performance.

The way you Announced that and put the clips together was AS ENTERTAINING as the actual NFL

Thanks for pointing out the nuances I didn't notice. The punting was an unusually exciting part of the skill and strategy to watch in this game.

Damn crazy how the more u understand football the more you understand how crucial punters and kickers are and to have two clutch ones at both positions is a few games a season and a few in the post season also chief kicking game is clutch like their qb

Punters and kickers on both side balled out. You sure do know how to hype up a punter! LFG

What an intriguing title! The idea of a punter almost winning Superbowl MVP is absolutely fascinating. It highlights the unpredictable and exciting nature of sports, where sometimes the most unexpected players can shine on the biggest stages. The Superbowl always brings out incredible talent and memorable moments, and this story seems like it adds a unique twist to the game's rich history. It's great to see different positions getting recognition for their impact on the game! 🏈✨

Any punter who can consistently give you long hang time when he kicks is worth his weight in gold. It's an impressive skill that requires adamantine strength in the legs and uncanny coordination. There was a rival high school that had a boyhood friend of mine on their team back in the day, and who had an insane hang time. Everyone was in awe when he punted.

You could tell that both teams were firing on all cylinders with the way big plays were made at every level, this SB definitely showcased the best of all three sections of the game.
