Kingdom Hearts Series Retrospective: Comparing The Smaller 2 || ThinkBox Chris

One thing I like about Terra and Ven’s respective story arcs is that there like dark deconstructions of Sora and Riku’s. What happened to Terra and Ven probably could have happened to those two as well if they weren’t so lucky.

Whenever I draw I watch these videos in the background, I love games and information/ratings and then listening and watching these reviews is great

I suspect that the change from Roxas looking like Sora to Ven instead happened later in KH2’s development since we have art of a more Sora like Roxas and Ven’s unmasked appearance was only a couple months after base KH2 in Japan.

I’ve heard plenty of folks complain about the ways you can cheese a game like BBS. Like the thunder and magnet commands for example. But if you play and study these games enough you’ll find that there’s almost always a mechanic or two that can work very well in tandem with another mechanic in certain situations. In KH2 for example I got three words to prove my point. Thunder, magnet and stitch.

Ven is absolutely your boy if you want a character with even magic and strength stats. It’s for that reason he’s my favorite character to play as.

Personally I like Birth by Sleep more than Dream Drop Distance but I do enjoy my playing both games in their own way. Sure they are not the main number title but they are fun in their own right. Birth by Sleep is one of my favorite story out the series. I overall like your video. Edit: also thank you for defending Terra because he gets a lot of unfair treatment.

I use to be one of those people that thought the story of BBS was bad because the main characters were idiots. But now I realize the true idiot of the story is Eraqus. This guy was told first hand by the big bad himself what his grand plans were, but that’s not important enough information for Eraqus to share with any of his pupils? Why in the hell would this be something he’d want to keep to himself? Especially when the unversed very conveniently pop up around the exact same time Xehanort just suddenly disappears.

Okay small dumb detail but when you say No Heart you use footage of Armor of Eraqus and when you say Armor of Eraqus you use footage of No Heart

Is it fair to say that one of the reasons why the fanbase aren’t to crazy about these non numbered titles is because of things like the command deck and the more comparatively sluggish Keyblade combos?

Does anyone think it’s weird about how most of the characters like light but hate darkness even though there should be a balance.

Okay small dumb detail but you mixed up the names of Armor of the master and no heart as when you say no heart you show and describe armor of the master and vice versa

The ps3 was a developer's nightmare which is why it was skipped over.

I disagree with the notion that bbs has barely any level design, the worlds may be small but they all have at least one platforming heavy area with one new mechanic, think sleeping beauty's world labyrinth, dwarfs woodlands castle time based objectives, neverland fairy dust mountain climbing...
