  • Hi Blanca and Jonathan!!! Nurse here 🙋🏻‍♀️ and I encourage you both to please contact compliance office at hospital and submit a grievance, you will make a difference for others to come! Providers and HC workers are responsible for their role in their job & must be provided dignity respect compassion! Please please do it!!!!
  • @ynr0397
She only apologized because she got scared yall would report her. REPORT her, what she did is not ok!
  • @jessicav9214
Blanca. Please contact your hospitals Patient Relations department and tell them about this. You most likely are not the only one to feel this way. And hopefully you can stop someone else from having to go through this as well.

Girlllll as a nurse hearing your experience with that doctor literally infuriates me. Specially when she said to bring in the Fentanyl. Jonathan is 100% right, if you plan on being in the healthcare field, you can’t just do it for the money. You have to genuinely care for your patients.

As a nurse at a hospital, we tend to ask All patients about there experience. But especially if we noticed some kind of mistreatment against the patient because I can speak for myself I love what I do. And if someone is only there for a paycheck and isn’t treating you with respect we want them gone or at least spoken too. As a nurse our goal is to make you feel safe and respected the whole time there.

As a Mexican woman I was not taught to advocate for myself. No molestes a la gente they always say. We need to overcome that
  • Please open an IR report (incident report) with the hospital. I also had a really really bad labor and delivery experience and almost lost not only my daughter life but mine as well. Although, we are blessed and okay it could have been preventable. I agree with Jonathan sometimes they do need a slap on the wrist so that they don’t rob another mom of her experience in the future. I’m glad you have a very very supportive family & friend surrounding you Blanca. 🤍 congratulations mama!

Working in the medical field for many years this doctor had horrible bedside manners and needs to be reported. Blanca and Jonathan you guys need to file a complaint against her, it’s not fair the way she treated you and who knows if she was being racist or discriminative against you guys. Whatever it was she needs to be reported so that she’s held accountable for her actions. I’ve worked with many doctors and you see so many things. Some doctors can be the best and others make you question why they’re in the medical field if they act a certain way. Even if she did apologize to you guys she does need to be reported and have a complaint filed against her. Trust me, this will let her know that she can’t be acting this way. I really hope you guys do. If you need assistance with filing a complaint I can help you guys too. It seems that even the nurses and other medical staff noticed this about her too. Please file a complaint, it will help many women in the future so that they don’t go through a similar experience or even worse. Doctors are people just like you and I and as that there’s going to be good and bad ones but as a doctor they need to have a good reputation. They should never make you feel bad and should never make you feel like they’re better than you or anyone. I’m sorry you had to deal with a doctor like this but Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl Belen 🩷 she is perfect and so adorable! Dios los bendiga a todos siempre 🙏🏽🫶🏽

Bed side manners are sooo important from doctors and ESPECIALLY for labor and delivery. It’s already so vulnerable and painful. Also, please don’t let the comments of “just get the epidural, we’re in the 21st century” get to you. I’ve had both and my natural delivery was so much more intuitive and the healing was 100% better.
  • @Guessit492
I highly encourage you to voice your experience to the hospital. There is research that shows provider racial bias in pain assessment and treatment recommendations. In other words, research shows that providers assume women of color have a “higher pain tolerance” and typically get bare minimum treatment. So sorry you experienced this.
  • @lauraA19901
I got an epidural with all my 4 kids and recovery was EASY and I haven’t had zero pains. I feel people take alot of pride having a natural birth and don’t get me wrong respect to you but I for sure ain’t going through that awful pain! No wayyyy
  • A Karen is someone who complains over ridiculous things! You are not being a Karen for sticking up for yourself for, like you said, your birth experience! You can’t have a bad day when you are a doctor and peoples lives are on the line! Stick up for yourselves so nobody else goes through this. PS. Congratulations on baby Belen, she’s beautiful and reminds me so much of my baby.
  • @T.ananicole
Blanca, I appreciate you for sharing the good and the bad especially for those who haven’t had kids yet. You did amazing girl! Belen is BEAUTIFUL
  • Omg Blanca, you really need to report that doctor. Most likely she does it all the time, and the nurses know but cannot say anything because of work etiquette. I know cause I'm a nurse. We know good and bad doctors and wish I could tell my patients about the bad ones. Here in TX they send a survey after hospital stay, idk if it's like that in all states, but definitely say it in the survey if you get one. But I am happy for you guys. Congratulations on the new edition to the family. Report her!
  • @elviraarrez6428
She only apologized cause she was scared of you guys reporting her and you guys should most definitely report it because nobody else deserves to experience the same situation 💔
  • The way Blanca just makes motherhood and influencing look so graceful 🥹😭💖
  • @ceciliav8673
You guys have to put a complaint on that Dr. Save future mommy's from going under her care! She only apologized to keep you from speaking up!
  • As a labor and delivery nurse I’m so sorry this happened to you 🥲 Wishing a speedy recovery ❤️‍🩹
  • @liztovar9
I’m so sorry you went through this, thats literally a person who hates her job. I’m glad you are doing so much better ❤️
  • @2010Corinaa
It’s not about being a “Karen” it’s about standing up for yourself. This is your health care, it’s super important! And not only standing up for yourself but other that can be prevented from having this exact experience. There is a time and a place for everything, this is the time to BE A KAREN!
