I give myself tattoos stick n poke when I’m sad and everyone has a story and I love them

Omg, I love that you do stick n pokes! My very first tattoo was a stick n poke! I did a cliche semicolon when I was 18 but it meant a lot to me and still does. I went over it again about a year after doing it because it had started to fade a bit (I had unknowingly gone too deep) and then a few months ago I had it gone over again by a professional because again, it started to fade and I wasn't quite happy with how it was looking. It turned out great though and I love the meaning behind it. It's particularly special because it's my design. The night I did it, I was going to attempt suicide. Instead, I chose to live. I felt the semicolon was a perfect way to capture that ugly moment and turn it into something beautiful. Also, I have to say, that lipstick looks so good on you! <3

Reslly you should only need 2-3 passes and you should only go back over the spots you missed and lighter spots.. if the line is already mostly dark, dont overdue it
  • i’ve done so many stick and pokes with sewing needles and sharpie ink and they all turned out mediocre. all of them completely faded very quickly and didn’t look very good. i listened to your advice and got proper ink and needles and the tattoos i’ve done since have been so so so much better. thank you :)

i just did my first stick and poke a week ago dang this would have been so handy then:'-) i did mine on the side of my finger (a little triangle) and it's pretty bad but i'm proud!! my parents still haven't found out so that's good!!!
