  • I am watching from South Africa. I am very impressed with your homestead. Everything is thriving. Chickens, cows, horses, pigs, veg and flower gardens, fruit trees - Wow! Your children are precious and learn so much from you both. True grit yes truely authentic, honest, hard working and lovely country people. I wish you all the very best. Love the accent. When I think of Americans I always think this is the true American accent. 😊❤

Maggie is the sweetest little girl and I got tickled at her telling her daddy to put her seeds right there until she was ready for them lol 😂

I worked in the Orchards most of my life....just find or make a forked stick, like you'd use to hold your fishing pole, or build it with a piece of lumber. Use that to gradually push your baby trees back into an upright position by bracing between trunk and the ground. You can also use the same prop to support your tree branches when they are loaded with fruit. Looking good, whole family has a green thumb 👍 💯💙
  • Congratulations on 50k subscribers!!! Thanks so much for sharing your days with us!

We have only 2 acres, half of its woods, which joins other neighbors woods, across the road is a 28 acre farm. I have put in a vegetable garden, two berry gardens , and many flower gardens. I’ am 72 years old. All this property keeps my husband and I young❣️
  • You have a blessed life.Simple life is a better life for sure.❤
  • Maggie's flower garden is beautiful and I'm sure Jacob's vegetable garden will be as well! Love that your kids love to help and grow their own gardens❤️
  • Y’all’s kids continue to amaze me and hundreds, maybe more but I’ve got to say. It’s not because of 1 video where they’re working hard. It’s their enthusiasm to be out of the house and eagerly participating in work that needs doing. Their aggressive initiative to get er done ! Andy I love your views on things. My dad would’ve been a big fan of yours ! He would tell me… on every negative thing that came about, son you’ve got to see the positive in every situation !! Sadly after he passed I started doing that and more folks should. And you talking about the layout of your land and the challenges was actually a good thing. Prime ex. What he was saying. I’ve used that even in times of like death in the family, it’s a struggle but you’ll find good in part of something like that even if it takes months. Oh and catching guinea’s . I’ve never had to catch one but I’ve caught hundreds of the wild fighting chickens: this may be apples to oranges or it may work. You may have tried this already. If so sorry for including it but what I’d do is take a long 1”x 6” board. Shine a light on him, keeping it on his eyes of course and place the 1” under his feet and start pushing up. He’ll step onto the board then slowly bring the board down then grab him. It does take 2 people as anyone with any sense at all can tell. But it works great on chickens, hopefully it’ll help y’all. P.s. I can also tell you how to make a chicken go to sleep and no I’m not saying chop of the head. Chicken will be totally save. Do this trick and you can set him on the hood of your truck and step away from him. Then wake him up and he’ll go about his business. Completely unhurt. This has nothing to do of importance. Let me know if you want to know. Lol Great video, sorry for talking off your ears, that’s what I do best in life ! 😊. Love y’all !

It's great to see your farm's progress as we get to see it change from video to video. But, the one thing I see that just thrills me each time, is your children running around barefooted! When I was Jacob's age, you never saw me in shoes except at school or in church (lol). My brother and I would have the most filthy looking feet at the end of each day during the summer, but our feet were so tough that we could walk - or run - anywhere, on any type of ground. I love seeing your farm practices, and I love watching your family grow; basically, because it reminds me, in some small ways, of my younger years and being outdoors instead of inside playing video games or watching TV...we were always exploring the woods and mountains and teaching ourselves about nature and wildlife. Thank you for evoking such rich memories. Love the video!
  • That was an awesome walk about your property and such a peaceful footage while in the woods. Sharing your thoughts about making do with what you have got was wonderful the way you explained it . Makes life easier and keeps the family together and working the land. You folks are a blessing to watch. Stay safe and keep up the great videos and the fantastic recipes and cooking country and lovingly style that are so good and easy. Fred.
  • Your land is stunning! I love it! That woodland is really beautiful. I live on a very similar, very hilly landscape. Hard to work with in parts but so much more beautiful than flat, tree~less, barren land. Love your channel! Congrats on passing 50k subs! 🎉 🎉
  • 💕 our guineas come to the electric netting gate every evening. I open it as I'm calling here chick chick and they file right in. When predator pressure is bad they stay inside the compound😂 y'all have a blessed weekend everyone 🙏🏻❤❤
  • The pigs are looking good and really are growing. That hillside is the perfect place to have pigs. I love rambling around in the woods and have since I was Jacob and Maggie's age.
  • Thank you for the lovely walk and tour of your property. It is so refreshingly green and you can almost smell the moist woods. Your family is truly blessed!
