The Satisfaction theory is described by St Athanasius in his book "The incarnation of the Word" about 650 years before Anselm though..

Just now I am reading The Son Rises and it as clear as crystal. I really appreciate the approach towards that suvject as well as any other subject taken on. Very precise and carefully weighted assessment. Highly recommended! Next on the reading list is The KALAM cosmological argument. I will definitely look into this new book as well.

Great interview overall, except on the initial segment dealing with the Catholic theology on justification.
