I am addicted to the power of the NIN... I pray to the mighty NIN every night. ;))

Yes, I agree. That goes for most humans though... Important to remember that this is generally what goes for all teens, and most adults; psychologically speaking.

Hy bignumbers! ;) That is correct, I am an empiricist. When it comes to QM I get my data from people with a high understanding in the field at the front of the study. He says that "we do not know, remember this; you must never listen to anybody talking about the results or such in QM. It is frontier science. We know nothing but math". When it comes to what we can perceive, with enchantments, the possibilities are endless.

Utopian ideas are good. It makes us shape up and work towards something; even though it may be close to impossible to get to our ideals.

Oh! I love the alternate forms of perception the brain can be "forced" to do. In altering our perceptions we can better understand them, what they do right, and what they do... poorly. But yes, I hold that there is a objective reality outside of me, and that such a reality can be understood by the human mind, but that we must alter our thinking, and our perceptive methods, our paradigms, but do it slowly, to understand it.

Oh. Damn. I read the wrong Intergalactica Perfecta Biblica, I mixed the flems for the flams. Sorry about that! ;(
  • @GnosticAtheist
I do not subscribe to his beliefs, but I subscribe to the academic debate that it created here on youtube. It was mighty interesting and I did actually learn something, as I was forced to study more in-depth the topic. So personally, I was glad he made the video. And I do not think pedophiles suddenly became child molesters because of it. I got in contact with a few that PM'ed me because of my posts,

In order to change anything, education must be changed and the quality of human thought and mental processes must be increased. That is, as far as I see it, the only solution. There is no way we will have a functional world for everybody within the capitalistic paradigm.
  • @hollywodhack
Obviously I agree to this video completly... well said.
  • @GnosticAtheist
lol! I love captobvious videos. The dendo spoof is awesome, but his atheist slander vid is really god. He actually uses one of my videos (with permission) in the beginning of it.

Remember; I am an empiricist. I don't buy philosophy or mathematics as pure explanatory models. Real evidence, testable, falsifiable and without to much ad hoc is necessary. But don't despair, I do divide knowledge into many types, and none leads to 100%. And I do not have to accept 26 dimensions. I will have to see the tests first. Don't you just hate me? ;))

I did not say popularity has anything to do with correctness, I said I find many of his points valid, therefore I support his channel. There is more points to be had behind every of his conclusions, obviously, but as for any claim; you cannot make the masses understand without the masses having an education to understand your reasoning. Therefore, I support (counter) propaganda. Scary as it is...

Yes. If you read the comments below you will se that I agree. It applies to frontier science. But, when it comes to the god definition in mono-theism I am atheistic because there is no need for it, we have a complete understanding on thermodynamics, and energy does not need to be created as it is eternal. A creator only leads to infinite regression.
  • @GnosticAtheist
That might be so. I am Norwegian. The reason I made these videos back in the day was due to my studies at the university of Tromsø. It generated some discussion, particularly my frontal questioning about specific philosophical terms. The fact that you seem to jump to conclusions lead me to believe you are nothing but a troll. ;)
  • @GnosticAtheist
Well, atheistic positions are the way to perceive the world that increases fastest at this time.
  • @GnosticAtheist
I understand that I might be forced to make a video on the nature of subjectivity and science. When I say something I never define them as absolutes. There is no real scientist out there that locks themselves into absolutes. When I say there is no god, that means I have no knowledge of it., Same goes for everything else. But we base ourselves on observation. Thats how the mind works. Therefore, facts, like my body's existence,
  • @GnosticAtheist
Well, it is all rather semantical, and we can risk going in circles forever. What I mean is that I do not open my mind to something before a certain attempt to prove something is done. And by proof, I mean any type of attempt except; "because I say so" or "it is written". We are all open to evidence, but you must be agnostic to evidence when you are the one on the frontier, developing the evidence.

You're right, that does not sound like a good course - well, it might make be an interesting science fiction/ pulp lit one-day class.
  • @GnosticAtheist
Well, philosophy and free thought can easely be seen as perfectly good educational ground. If by education we mean alternative viewpoints that forces people to reflect. But Whah' evar! (I meet this guy on stickam that said whah' evar! to everything I said to prove evolution. It was very entertaining.)
