  • Our liver, kidneys, skin, lungs, digestive system are enough to detoxify our body. All we have to do is to maintain those organs well.

So cold press is just another useless marketing gimmick
  • @RayMak
    Flavoring and sugar water
  • I just eat the fruit and get all the benefits. Over-priced sugar water is idiocy. You might as well be drinking Kool Aid everyday.

My neighbor is over 80kg and drinks 2L of orange juice everyday. She tells me it's because of 'Vitamin C and fiber'. When I told her about high sugar, she got angry. She never spoke to me again.

Yes, fruit juice is nothing but sugar water. Spot on 👍

Eat whole fruit with partial skin or inner skin is best choice. Fruit like any other Carbohydrate food consist of Glucose & Frutose. Where Glucose is able metabolise in all body cell. But Frutose is only able to be metabolise in liver. Too much Frutose in liver will be converted into fats causing fatty liver...

The million dollar qn is: why does HPB still stamp healthier choice on commercial juice sold in supermarkets?
  • @ferp.2077
Thank you for this informative report. I'm surprised that the chocolate drink has the less sugar than the fruit juices.
  • This was really a good video. Appreciate your involvement in opening the truth. Cold press juice is somewhat better than supermarket juice but any way has equivalent sugar level. So in end whole fruit also has sugar but it consist of fibres which compensates it. So whole fruit is better choice!
  • If you don't have much time: What is called fruit juice is not always the same thing. It may be freshly pressed or have added sugar or be concentrated or oxidised. One thing remains the same: Fruit juices while containing vitamins and benificial things also contain a lot of sugar. Sugar is bad but fruits are good right? That is true but only consuming the the juice of the fruit may not be good enough since you miss out on good parts of the fruit like fiber. Science suggests that fruit juice may have negative effects while fruit is generally healthy. Kids that drink more juice often also end up eating more fruit so the whole fruit may even make juice seem better than it is. The claim that fruit juice is as bad as soda is wrong though most certainly. Our body is very complex and can work with thousands of compounds found in plants that are good for us. It's not just about sugar or vitamin c. Whole fresh fruits have many different good compounds that are good for us and that makes them so good (even though they are sweet). Just looking at two things that have the same amount of sugar and saing they are equally healthy is not thinking far enough. Equally it is not the same to take pills or extracts instead the the whole food. Many extractrs are even scams not containing anything good. So instead of drinking juice try to eat the whole fruit. Or blend the fruit in a smoothy if you want a drink. Try different fruits, they have different benefits (don't eat the poisoness berries). If you are doing smoothies you might as well throw some veggies in there. Many people and kids don't like uncooked vegtables but when you blend them up with some sweet fruits they might actually like it. Try not to only eat your one favorite fruit but enjoying fruit and vegtable is good because you will end up eating more of it. If eating brokkoli makes you never want to eat veggies again then it's not healthy for you to eat brokkoli. Try a different vegtable.

There was a clinical study done in the past. 2 groups of participants. 1st group, drank a glass of OJ made from 6 crushed oranges. Took them 5 minutes to gulp it down, blood sugar rose pretty high immediately. 2nd group, tried to eat 6 oranges. Took them a while to finish eating, and no change in blood sugar level. FIBERS is the KING, man !!

The interviewee spewing pseudoscience about how detox helped them 'feel better' should be nominated for MLM. What a load of bull.

That mic drop at the end was beautiful. Whole fruit for the win and chewing is wonderful.
