Moultrie, Georgia-Drive Through

Moultrie, Georgia; driving tour
We are retired, and we travel to places that were once thriving but are not doing so well now sharing our thoughts about the places we drive through. We focus on South Georgia, Middle Georgia, and other places surrounding us. Sometimes the places that we visit are doing well. We also visit places of interest like state parks, historical places, and museums. We try to be positive about the areas we go to because there is too much negativity in the world already.

  • Hubert, I enjoy your travel videos very much... your travels are what I enjoy watching as you show the Cities and Towns for what one would see if they went there...many of the other travel videos that are available on YT take attention to the run down or failing and the mean streets, that does not interest me as a main focus, good to know however...Good to know also the streets that your traveling and that makes it easy to find a location and to have fun following along with you on maps.. Just what the people would be interested in seeing and or visiting, nice detail keep em up, and we'll keep watching and hopefully visit these destinations, that's in my thoughts as well ...Best Regards D.
  • Thank you so much it was very easy to follow you around Moultrie, your mentions of the street names and routes make it feel like we are in your back seat. Thank you for letting us ride along. Lunch is on us next time. Haha

My family "Jolly" are from Moultrie. Some family live there now. My Great Grandfather had around 11 kids who all moved to Cleveland except for one. My mother and grandmother grew up in Moultrie.

Spent a lot of time in Moultrie back in the 70's and 80's. I used to love their Roses department store when I was a kid. Only one I had ever seen at the time. We now have a Roses in Palatka, Florida.

I wonder if the old Pidcock tobacco warehouse is still there? I remember as a young boy, hauling tobacco from Georgiana, Alabama with my grandfather and we stayed at the Colquitt Hotel. Saw the movie Green Slime at the Colquitt Theater. Those were the good old times.
